It is not for northerners. If you are a southerner living in the North, you qualify.

Tony Elumelu is a detribalised Nigerian, we are proud of you. When you southerners were busy living off our groundnuts, did we complain? grin grin
You guys enjoy our cow meat and fura da nono, yet you rejected ruga. Thunder will fire anyone that criticises Elumelu for this noble gesture.

We've never enjoyed free meat or groundnut in the south! As for that fulani cum you call fura de nunu, no sane southerner would be caught drinking it: not since we heard that you northerners cum into it. We only usually enjoy the girls that sell them( you dont need to understand their language, just offer them extra N200). Fulanis have been living peacefully in the south without conflict since before amalgamation and this newly a discovered anti-fulani fervour only started when they got guns and started raping, killing, pillaging and kidnapping. We've never had problems before now! And FYI, we dont need elumelu's money, we are not as poor here as you guys and your beggarly brethren down south! What we need is the 'deamalgamation' of Nigeria: the undoing of Lugard's work, thank you!

Why are you wailing this much nah!
You better take life easy on yourself.
Hatred kills more than HIV o!

Yes it does, but I believe living in a country ruled by a tribal bigot who is also a supporter of barbarism kills faster than both hatred and HIV!

Why is it that nobody ever talks of northern businessmen, only businessman! Is it that only one man inherited all the sense meant for a whole region

Don't mind the nitwit, as if all that we southerners do is munch free groundnut with our garri from morning to night, waiting for Sara(alms) in every corner of the south like those Hausa beggars down south!

This is a UNDP program...
It is merely partnering with the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF), as some other agencies and governments (national and sub national) have.

In the 4 previous cycles of the TEF Entrepreneurship program (this year is the 5th cycle), there has been very negligible numbers of beneficiaries (even applicants) from the North (and presumably from the Sahel region). The UNDP is trying to extend entrepreneurship and small business development in these regions, and is therefore putting in entirely its own funds (100%), but working with the TEF through the very successful entrepreneurship and mentoring program already established under the TEF Entrepreneurship Program. However, it is an entirely UNDP initiative and entirely (100%) UNDP funds. Accordingly, in addition to other Partners of the TEF Program (see below), the Program will end up with as much as 3050 (instead of the usual 1000 TEF) participants this cycle (last year was about 2000).

Other Partners of the TEF and the TEF Entrepreneurship Program include the Anambra State government, Botswana and Benin Republic (in addition to African Development Bank). These Partners use their own funds (just like the UNDP is doing) to sponsor the participation of their own candidates, nationals/citizens in the TEF Entrepreneurship Program. It’s a WIN-WIN, because these Partners do not have to create their own individual entrepreneurship training and mentoring program and associated infrastructure, and the TEF Program has more beneficiaries.

What do u gain always misconstrue the general public?

This is just additional face of the empowerment which supposed to be an encouragement to those areas deemed not to have turn up.

It is being funded by a source which u may not want to deliberate on as such.

If Mr. A is from the north and he gives his money to Mr. B who already had a script for empowerment programmes to help him empower his people through his programme, how is that a crime?

Tony Elumelu Foundation is not running in Nigeria alone, there are several other country benefiting from the programs.

I don't know why our thinking always go political..
