You are "On the bus" when the vehicle is in motion, that is, moving. While, you are "In the bus" when the bus is not in motion.

"On the bus" means you're in transit in a bus while "in the bus" means you're in the bus and not transiting

Everybody here na olodo. The correct one is "on the bus". Buses were originally platforms that industrial workers took to and from work. So even though a bus is covered,it's still considered a flat platform. So to all the olodos "on the bus".

Lmaoooo. I use both interchangeably. English is such a complicated and confused language. If not that colonialist forced it on the world it would have gone extinct. Even native English speakers struggle to get it right. Our traditional languages are even better at describing actual situations than English.

We us "in" if the space is confined. there is no movement, you enter and come off.

In a car, In a canoe,in a yatch, ... e.t.c.

The only time you use "in the bus" is when you left an object or material( now it's not about transportation but location)

The logic has to do with the space ( if the person is free to move or not)

In a private car, like toyota muscle , you can't walk inside the car)
