I was about giving credit to the guy before seeing your post ...that guy rendered Tau useless in that game.

LMFAO, these cowards your ambassador was talking about grin grin;

By Ahmed Tahir Ajobe
Minna — The immediate past Nigeria Ambassador to South Africa, Ahmed Ibeto has disclosed that the recurring incidences of murder involving Nigerians were being carried out by Nigerians themselves contrary to claims of xenophobic attacks.

In an interactive session with journalists shortly after the presentation a letter of intention to vie for the governorship of Niger state on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday in Minna, Ibeto said from the statistics of killings and their remote and immediate causes available to the Nigeria Embassy, most of the incidences were as a result of conflict between Nigerians.

"I can authoritatively tell you from the evidences we have that out of four of such killings involving Nigerians, three are by Nigerians themselves as a result of rivalry, shady deals, cultism and drugs," he said.

He said in most cases, the conflict is as a result of territorial control between drug barons which often results in deaths and destructions, even as he disclosed that barons also kill their aides and workers who betray them in the cause of business.

He explained that he has on many occasions submitted detailed reports on such crises to the federal government, who promptly collaborate with South Africa authority to stem the tide.

He however said there were few exception where South Africans attack and even murder Nigerians

Although the goal scorer was indeed in an offside position, the goal counts because the ball came off Ighalos back, so it is not offside.

If the ball last touched a South African, it would have been clearly off.

These are the rules. Up Eagles.
The guy was already off even before the free kick. Ighalo's deflection doesn't count

Very true. You sabi watch ball. The coach got that spot on and the lad stepped up to the occasion in a big way. Very solid performance he gave.

Super Eagle played very well this quarterfinal stage. More strength to them move to final. One Love

We have this culture of improving with every passing game. Observed this in Maroc 88 and confirmed it in the Westerhof team to Algers 90. Sometimes it works when the opponents enroute the cup are wacky but other times when our opponents are equally improving like the Cameroun team at Nigeria 2000 or just imperious like the Raber Madjer led Algerian 1990 team then it may prove a bridge too far.

Anyway the best teams in this tournament are still ahead. Everyone of the last four teams will have merited their spots and any can lift the cup.

Musa is needed here for threat and speed cool
In the second half, Musa's final pass is usually not very effective when he starts as he get less strong to make effective last touch. As a second half sub, with strength of opposing defenders depleted/reduced say by Simeon, Musa's pace will devastate them and he will have enough strenght to lay in an accurate pass even score one or two golas of his own.
Simeon may not get past his marker often like Musa but makes/made for more corners one out of which the goal came.

Simeon for first half. Musa for second, simple.

We have played more semifinals than any other African team despite not qualifying all the time. I don't think any team has won more medals than us (bronze in 92, gold in 94, silver in 00, bronze in 02, 04 and 06, gold in 13). We may not have won as much trophies as Egypt Cameroon or Ghana but we have got to be the most decorated.
do you know finals ghana has gone? Nigeria cant be the most decorated side

Yeah minutes right before the SA goal because he didn't reinforce(make much required changes especially Simeon for Musa) early enough. The energy drop lingered just enough for SA to capitalise.
An area the Coach can improve on.

Congratulations to the super eagles but we still have a problem. Why do we always relax after scoring first instead of pressing more for more goals, the same thing happened in Cameroonian match.
The coach should work on that because it may not work next time.
