Whatever happens in our next game, Please tell Rohr not to field AKPEYI.

The South Africans seem to know him very, very well. They know his low points as a keeper and will exploit them to the fullest. They are so,so confident when they see him in goal.

A word is enough for the wise
A keeper that has instilled the least confidence in the history of Nigerian keepers.
Everytime the ball goes near him or the opponent is around our 18yard box,you have the feeling we are likely going to concede.
Asides that save against Burundi,I don't remember Akpeyi making any other.
Even against Cameroun, their only 2 shots on target resulted to goals, other attempts were way off or intercepted by our defence.
Nigeria has never had it this bad in our goalkeeping department since probably 1960.

Nigerians haff started.

"Walkover" "South Africa are our perennial wives" bla bla bla.

This is how you people make mouths before games, at the end you get disappointed. Learn to tone down.

There were FOUR key things that impressed me about South Africa against Egypt:

Their PRESS : They made life uncomfortable for Egypt with a "modern" press as the Egyptians tried to play out from the back.

This could be problematic for us. Neither the duo of Ekong or Omeruo are very assured on the ball. And we are renowned for making back passes too much. That should be something to take note of.

The Hold Up Play of Mathiba: The guy was a beast up front against the physical Hegazi. Held play well and brought in the likes of Percy Tau, Lorch and the midfielders into the game.

Nigerian defenders have to be really physical against him.

Their One-touch Football:
Not even the more technically astute North African teams have played the kind of pass-and-move football the South Africans played at times.

To be honest. It was thrilling.

That kind of passing can cut a defense into two very quickly. We have to be on guard.

Defensive Organization: That man in midfield, Furman, protected the defense SUPERBLY. And the defense played their part too.

In the end, Nigeria possess more than enough firepower to win this game. But it will NOT be a walk over like many are already claiming all over social media.

We play a different style of football from Egypt. And that counts for a lot.

I HOPE of course, the Eagles carry the day.

You've said it all. With their superb counter attack and almost impenetrable defence, they will give us a good run for our money. If we play that rubbish we played against Cameroon, they will surely beat us.

we have better keepers in NPL. The coach prefer to stick to uzoho like chew gum at the world cup, now akpeyi at Afcon just for his addiction to foreign based players. we've played so far in this tournament as a team with 10 men against 11. akpeyi in goal is just for decorative purpose.

south Africa plays more like Europeans while Nigeria plays more like African, slow and steady, if u know what I mean, they will frustrate us with their pressing and we will frustrate them with our slow attacking prowess and game is balanced

I have a feeling that we will silence all these people in favour of Nigeria. And I'm happy we unleashed Lorch at the right moment.

The Quick one- twos and counter attacking style of the South Africans might cause problems for the Super Eagles.

Meanwhile, CAF after realizing their cash cows of the tournament Egypt have been dumped out.

Egypt is overrated...why didn't S.A. beat ivory coast? S.A. finished 3rd. If u watch the match, Egypt were no threat at all.

don't worry, having defeated Egypt, nobody is expecting SA to be underdogs anymore. That garb has been taken off, so, don't think that the underdogs tag applies to SA anymore
