I pray Ivory Coast wins.....that Algeria isn't good to play at alllll

Well, we have gotten to that point where "we have to beat the best in order to become the best".

If Cote d'Ivoire comes, fantastic. If we get Algeria, all well and good. But hey, we've done it against them before {WC qualifiers}. We can do it again.

You're absolutely right! Thank God he played him tonight o. This guy is our new Messi and Okocha. You can be sure he will perform wonders with the ball in his legs. He doesn't disappoint! It's been over 15yrs we last had a playmaker in the SE. I pray Chukwueze doesn't fall into the hands of the wrong coach like Mikel, and I pray he keeps working hard and not relent. He will be a world star in the nearest future!

I look forward to this coach using Onyekuru, even if it's for 20mins.

I'm OK with this team without Mikel! I pray they don't use him throughout o or else, you will see the loopholes. This team is getting balanced for me now; two good wingers Musa and Chukwueze, good midfield, Iwobi and Ndidi, and others. They are very complete now. And I can see the communication and understanding between them getting better. This guys will still surprise the world if our coach doesn't go political.
He plays well but he can also be benched. He didn't play well in the first match... The player that replaced him played well too and is not bad... I mean Samuel Uche or something(that dude does not even smile).... When Chikueze came off the bench, he played better than he did in the first game. The coach is good and knows his onions. Your level of disrespect to MIKEL is also annoying.

Chukueze gives me hope that we can still find a talent in Nigeria after.
if he doesn't explodes at the years tournament, the next one is sure.
200 million people 1 good tallent, a shame but there is hope!
my dear give those guys some credit OK, this is not a club side that can play up to 7 matches before knowing ur first 11, this is a different. Believe and support the entire team remember how we all castigated those teams that won the cup with Late Keshi in South Africa? So there is hope

Perhaps I'll even begrudgingly support you in your next game, that's if you're not playing BaGhana BaGhana grin Is Ghana still in? I've not been keeping track of the games.
Lol you want a Frontpage news that a man die from excessive lapdance abi?

No Ghana was knocked out by Tunisia in a penalty shootout after 1 -1 draw.

Nigeria vs South Africa: 5 things we learnt as Super Eagles qualify for semi-final

The Super Eagles will play in the Africa Cup of Nations semi-final, after they beat South Africa 2-1 on Wednesday.

Samuel Chukwueze gave the Nigerians the lead in the first half, before Bongani Zungu levelled for South Africa following a VAR decision.

William Troost-Ekong netted the winner in the dying seconds of the game.

So, what are the five things we learnt from the match?

1. Chukwueze is a star: That is the first thing that comes to mind after watching 90minutes of that game. The Villarreal was a consistent menace for the South Africans all through, with his zippy movements and velvet dribbling skills. Glad that Gernor Rohr picked him and he also scored his first goal for Nigeria.

2. Musa still not justifying his selection: Before this game, Rohr went on and on about Musa’s experience, as the reason he is selecting the Al Nassr winger ahead of Henry Onyekuru. But once again, Musa did not come to the party. He was all pace and no end product. Musa is the reason why the Super Eagles were not out of sight by half time.

3. VAR almost takes the headlines: As soon as Zungu headed in for 1-1, practically everyone screamed offside. Infact, the linesmen waved his flag, as the midfielder wheeled away. But VAR, which comes into play from the quarter-finals, had another look and spotted that the ball came off Ighalo’s back.

4. South Africa not all that: Credit to Rohr, he set up his team to nullify Bafana Bafana and make them ineffective at their superb counter-attacking style. Although there are times they threatened to break Nigeria down, the Eagles’ defence held firm.

5. Up next, Ivory Coast or Algeria: Nigeria will not take on the winner of the quarter-final clash between Ivory Coast and Algeria. It is likely to be the North Africans, as they have been sensational all tournament. Time to take a rest and prepare for the next tough fixture.

I'll agree with everything except number 2. Musa was a constant threat to the South African number 5. It wasn't his fault that his strike partners didn't apply the finishing touch where necessary.

To the best of my knowledge Onyekuru is a striker and not a winger. Correct me if I'm wrong though but Musa's spot in that starting XI is all but indispensable.

RTSC:

Gernot Rohr should be placed on a long term contract.

He is not perfect, but he is more progressive than what we have had before.

Until he realizes that Ighalo is a jam-body and should be replaced with Onyekuru. This dude cannot control any ball sent his way.
