Was Ighalo in the match?
Did our top striker strike?

This coach should give hungry strikers opportunity .

He plays well but he can also be benched. He didn't play well in the first match... The player that replaced him played well too and is not bad... I mean Samuel Uche or something(that dude does not even smile).... When Chikueze came off the bench, he played better than he did in the first game. The coach is good and knows his onions. Your level of disrespect to MIKEL is also annoying.

I don't disrespect Mikel as a personality; but I counter his inclusion with the present squad if we really want SE to move forward. We still have players like Chukwueze who can replace Mikel and do the work better, but emotions and sympathy will always affect our sense of judgement!

Asides, if I don't want Mikel, there's nothing you can do about it; it's my opinion. I can't be you and you can't be me. We think differently, that's why it's called PUBLIC OPINION.

You're absolutely right! Thank God he played him tonight o. This guy is our new Messi and Okocha. You can be sure he will perform wonders with the ball in his legs. He doesn't disappoint! It's been over 15yrs we last had a playmaker in the SE. I pray Chukwueze doesn't fall into the hands of the wrong coach like Mikel, and I pray he keeps working hard and not relent. He will be a world star in the nearest future!

I look forward to this coach using Onyekuru, even if it's for 20mins.

I'm OK with this team without Mikel! I pray they don't use him throughout o or else, you will see the loopholes. This team is getting balanced for me now; two good wingers Musa and Chukwueze, good midfield, Iwobi and Ndidi, and others. They are very complete now. And I can see the communication and understanding between them getting better. This guys will still surprise the world if our coach doesn't go political.

On point. And the coach should please stop bringing in Moses Simon even though his substitution resulted in the winning goal. He is a winger that can hardly get past a defender. Musa is good on the left and Chukwueze on the right.

That's what I've been crying for. We get stuck to a player that even when they start underperforming, we still keep on with them. We can't continue like this if we want results. Couldn't he have changed Ighalo in the Second half and try fresh options like Onyekuru and Osimhen?!

If not for public outcry, he wouldn't have used Chukwueze as starting lineup.

And this same emotion is what we have for inconsistent Mikel, that's why we experienced so many problems in the midfield. I still prefer Iwobi to Mikel in Mikel's position. Mikel doesn't fit this team anymore. I will continue to say it. If not for his injury, we won't see the beautiful creativity we enjoyed so far. Let's learn to call a spade a spade when it eventually becomes a spade. I am a very blunt person. Kudos to Mikel, but his time is gone. That's the truth.

You're right! We're lucky we got a goal through his assist, but the difference between him and Musa is clear. Any time I see Simon trying to pass through a player, I always know he will lose the ball! That can't be said of King Musa. Although, Musa has poor finishes at times, Ighalo makes it worse with poor positioning.

But, I prefer Musa on full time to Simon. Like I opted for Chukwueze for FT before the South Africa match, this coach should give Onyekuru and Osimhen the chance too. It's painful he's Underutilizing our best players!

They should give it to Ekong. If not for him, there would have been extra time with possibility of penalty.

We can't judge that way. Some players have good days and bad days. The best the coach would have done was substituting him for another player like Onyekuru or Osimhen.

Ekont scored the second goal and he's Calabar and Calabar isn't part of Biafra

That's why I said you should go and check the old Biafra map.

SS/SE was Biafra

This is no err of judgment in this case. Ighalo is a chanced player. He is not flexible and had absolutely no flair of soccer artistry. He fights with ball and never had control of any ball sent his way. I had to close my eyes whenever a ball is passed to him because it will surely bounce of his legs or butt. With Musa and Chukwueze on the flanks, Eagles will be a formidable opponent if Onyekuru or Osimhen is inserted as the striker instead of the stiff called Ighalo.

How would you know if he is from Calabar or not when you cannot even get his name correctly written? Last time I checked though, Calabar was part of defunct eastern region of Nigeria. By the way, I can say your expression indicts the academic system found in the shithole called Nigeria. I think your "Ekont" might be Efik, Ibibio or Annang.

Osimhen should be given a chance to sub Ighalo after 80 minutes

We need to groom the future players too

My dead grandmother could have scored those goals in her heydays. What of the chances Ighalo failed to convert? Ighalo can score 100 goals for Nigeria, he is still a pure stick.
