No route is better, both are the same from what I have seen so far. Choosing a route depends on your plans in terms of, if going for paper route then you ll have to submit your int passport while if going for online route you wouldn’t need to. I ll advise you apply early too given the delay in visa processing this period.

Goodmorning house.
Special thanks to @justwise, folmus, omobendel and all the veterans in the house who keep this thread going.

I and hubby submitted our application on the 14th of June
Visa was stamped on the 26th June (kenya)
We received our passports with approved visas on 10th July

Travel History: we have travelled together as a couple 3 times in the last 8 months .Dubai, Maldives and Dubai (honeymoon),Indonesia hubby alone.
I worked and schooled abroad(not canada or US) for 5 years before returning back to Nigeria.I also have a valid US visa and several trips to the US and Uk over the last 5 years.
I was in the US last year and wanted to go to Vancouver for the weekend but realized i needed a canadian visa to cross over plus some more personal reasons which i will explain in another thread.

Documents Submitted.
Marriage certificate (married less than a year)
Bank statements 6 months with very good inflow(individual with over 2m each plus company account nearly 10m)
Trip to be funded from joint account.
Honeymoon pictures
Wedding pictures
Company CAC
Strongly worded letter of intent explaining our personal statement, itinerary and travel reasons.
Budget for 10 day trip $6000 each
Hotel reservations
Flights bookings
Bank reference letters for each account
Hubby's employment letter and payslips
Bank accounts inflow explanation for company account as clients pay in monies regularly.
No land or house documents.

This thread helped me in many ways than one.
I believe good travel history does help as well.
Hubby's job and our business was our tie back home i guess as we are still a young couple.
I am sincerely grateful for all i learnt from here.

The delay on visitors visa is becoming unbearable. It looks like study permit applicants are getting responses faster than visitors visa. It’s nerve racking really.

The delay in visit visas application is becoming something else. I received a call from my bank on 11th july asking me if I submitted my account statement to canada embassy and I responded accordingly. I hope my approval story is near. I submitted my application online since 6th of may. May God help us.

Good day,

I applied since March 28 and I got request for passport yesterday. I have roughly a year left on my passport. Since Canada grants length of passport validity. My question is Can I get a new passport for the submission?

No, you have to submit with the passport you applied with(As far as I know). Canada will give you visa till expiry date of your passport and not beyond.
