I think its time we do away with dual citizenship. If you are a citizen of a foreign country either by birth or naturalisation you should be forced to denounce your Nigerian citizenship as it is technically unfathomable to have the best interests of two countries at heart.

Nigeria is slowly but surely progressing and one day, it will undergo the same scale of economic growth and prosperity that China has enjoyed over the last 30 years. All those who ran away and abandoned Nigeria for greener pastures abroad, will be the same ones begging to return for better opportunities.

God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Forget that side bro.

The first and fastest road to having a functioning automobile industry is to have a functioning and efficient steel industry. Without this,we will keep on assembling car parts from other countries.
And Power also. I have been saying it over and over.

Any sincere President should ensure Power and Ajaokuta Steel starts functioning well. You will see every other thing will take shape

In fact, let me adds that a nation without a steel manufacturing industry can never fully industrialize.
Steel of most type, form and shape should be able to have a lead time of maximum 2 weeks.

Also there is the AFCTa coming up, we need manufacturing at full strength to not only saturate west Africa, but central and east Africa.

Nigeria actually exports steel.
There are a few steel companies in Nigeria producing good steel.
They are not as giant as ajaokuta, but they are doing the Job.

I.don't think steel is a problem for now.
There need to be a massive local demand first for it to become a problem.

Nigeria will also need to have a sit down with Benin republic.

Since we can't totally shut the border due to their cultural and ethnic relationship with Nigeria, we Will need to give them a quota on the number of foreign cars and products they can let in, so as to create a win-win for both countries.

We can't continue this indiscriminate smuggling of none -African origin products into Nigeria.
It is killing the country.

Stop deceiving yourself. You need to travel out and see how backward this country is. Nigeria is at least 50years behind Europe in development. China is years ahead of us. China that is working day by day to overthrow Europe in development. You think these countries fold their legs and wait for Nigeria. They are developing day by day while Nigeria is developing 20 years by 20 years. A lot of Nigerians really need excursion to Europe ,China and America to see what development really means.
In case you don't know ,it is those people with dual citizen who expose the deficiency of our leaders to people like you who think shouting 'Sai Baba' is development.

China was a very poor country with small villages and farms some 30 years ago. Their exponential growth started once they allowed some variation of capitalism and ultimately become a member of the WTO. They allowed foreign companies to build their factories and take advantage of the cheap labour. These are exactly the steps we need to take as china is slowly moving away from an export based economy to a domestic consumer based one. Cost of living and wages are creeping up in china and foreign manufacturers are looking for the next cheap labour to boost their bottom line. Africa is the next China and Nigeria should be tapping into this opportunity in the near future.

I was waiting for your types to come and display their foolishness. You didn't disappoint.
Who benefits more from the reopening of this plant, Lagosians who live in that locality or people from the hinterland SW?
To be fair, any industry cited in Lagos benefits only the LASG and Lagosians. But if properly cited in core SW as Osun and Ekiti, then the benefits goes properly to the people of that state.
