Head coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, has said that their 2-0 loss to Madagascar, was their “joker” at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

Nigeria lost 2-0 to the Barea at Alexandria Stadium, in their last Group B encounter almost two weeks ago.

Rohr’s men have since put the defeat behind them and will face Algeria in the semi-finals on Sunday.

“The loss to Madagascar was our joker.

“We could lose it because we had already qualified for the next round.

“We wanted to allow others in the team to play as well.

“We can forget about the defeat to Madagascar now because we are through to the semi-final. Even the defeat helped us to be more humble and sometimes it is good also,” Rohr told the media.

Any other jokers now will be very expensive!

haha calm down na but at least he is improving the squad and the way the team is playing... to me he is a good coach compare to that of super falcons own
