oyebanji44: Yes, it's OK to laugh because it's neither your brother, your sister nor your immediate family member that's affected. Have you ever lost a lost one? Wait! Have you ever lost a lost one through untimely death? Wait yet again. Have you ever lost a loved one through the bullets of one who you could actually beat up if not for the AK-47 he is wielding? It has hit a person at the hierarchy of your race. If nothing is done, trust me, this shit will continue till it hits your doorstep. The Igbo people have been shouting now it is just a few weeks into the events and your people are only issuing threats. I stand with the Yorubas but they need to make an example of the herdsmen(even if they are the innocent ones) for things to change. It is called casualties of war. Hunters could form groups... They know how to track things that move on land. Lay ambush on these terrorists and kill them all. The terrorists believe in their guns but the Yorubas are smarter. Ambush them, forget the security agents and leave them out of your plans. Security agents in Nigeria are saboteurs, they'll leak your plans. 7 Likes |

Ohaneze ndigbo are better candidates for this course n call ... it shouldn't be a call of anarchy or physical battle, dou we must protect ourselves there are other ways we can heat the government without violence, by pressurizing the harms of govt, grand protest etc let explore a civilized way o, but mind you if yorubas do not take a drastic action and decision who knows who would be the next victim Oni, Gani Adams or their family could be the next or even the governors families in SW who knows |

The picture is becoming glaring by the day. Nigeria was created just for administrative convenience for the British economic interests and not out of the natural commonality of the people. This is undeniable and the North are very much aware of this, that is why they treat the international boundaries up North as mere arbitrary lines. They still have close ties with the bloodlines in the old shongei empire. Consider this, there is hardly any Fulani that does have a blood relative in Mali, Niger, North Cameroon, Chad, and part of Burkina faso. In the south, there is not such relationships with other outside Nigeria. It’s either you are a Nigerian or nothing else. The south was not scraped off from elsewhere in the amalgamation. This cannot be said of the North which is an offshoot of old shongei region but was arbitrary separate in the Scramble for Africa. Knowing this background historical events is important in understanding the present. Originally, the North and others in their former empire practice feudalism, their believe system is animist and the occupation has always been nomadic animal rearing and crop farming. These have not changed. Now, feudalism as a system has three elements; the lords, vassal and the land (fifte). The lords owns all the land, he allocates potion to the Vassal for use in their occupation. The vassal in turn, take an oath of absolute allegiance to the lord. To fight in the lords military as part of the contract for the land favor. This system is what the Fulani recognizes. Isn’t Nigeria a democratic system? The answer is simple. Democracy has been used to masquerade feudalism in Nigeria. The power of governance and control is with the Caliphate. The lords control the vassal and the vassals get land in return. Buhari ironically can never be the lord, he is like the commander of the vassals. Orders and decisions are made by the lords; the caliphate. Remember how he stated his military career with no qualifications whatsoever , just an introduction letter from a lord whom he owes loyalty to. The letter read “ the boy Buhari will pass WEAC.” So when you hear Ruga and Fulani herdsmen, don’t look too far for the origin. They are elements of Fulani feudalism. The commander of Vassals of the North in this case Buhari through pseudo democracy as practiced in Nigeria, uses federal might to coerce, force or otherwise intimate the South to surrender their holding on land to the lord; the caliphate. Let’s call a spade a spade. Here is the true pic of Nigeria- The NW is the Caliphate The NE is the breeding ground for the foot soldiers. The NC is the home for the Vassals. The middle belt are unwilling to surrender their lands. The SW are reluctantly willing to compromise as long as a measure of convenience is possible. The SE is already a conquered territory even with their resistance. The SS is like an orphan who is left for grasp for its resources. 3 Likes |

NkayStory: Nneoma, I understand you but this is the time to stand by the Yorubas... The war is coming gradually, we will need them to understand what's coming. The war will be won faster if they are willing to fight for their lands as well... We are willing to fight for ours but most Yorubas are still living in denial. They hate the Igbos more than they hate those that are actually killing them. I wonder how many Yorubas have died in the hands of Igbos compared to how many the terrorist herdsmen have killed within this very short period of time the president started his second tenure. The truth is the wise Yoruba descendants know the truth but keep quiet while the immature privileged ones promote discords of hate here on nairaland. 1 Like |
