Yoruba: Strategic Or Cowardly? by nisai: 6:20pm On Jul 13, 2019 |
I have just spoken to my brother Yinka Odumakin and he has confirmed to me that the daughter of our very own Baba Fasoranti, the leader of Afenifere, was slaughtered by Fulani herdsmen in Ore today. This is the final straw. The Yoruba MUST act NOW. We must defend our people! I call on my brother, the Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, Gani Adams, who I just broke the shocking news to and who is presently in Mali, to come home quickly, rise to the occassion and, in consultation with others including our traditiinal rulers, organise the defence of the Yoruba people and determine what our next line of action will be. Inasmuch I take the issue bedeviling our nations security..sensational journalism should be put away this moment of sober reflection. When did kidnappers turn herdmen? Na our own people organize such a thing. Let us the Yoruba fish out the people baba Fasoranti are having melee with. nisai: 1 Like 1 Share |

I am not into your game of inter-tribal contests/bashing. Go and look for people at your level of intelligence that you can be doing 'Afonja Vs Osu' contest. nisai: 1 Like 2 Shares |

oyatz:No sir, I swear this (tribal contest) has never been my intent; notice most of the names I listed are not into that also. I just respect you and the likes for your intelligence, diplomacy and maturity being displayed here for long. This the more reason I mentioned you all so that we can have views devoid of tribal bashing. I am sorry sir. 1 Like 1 Share |

I am sorry if my response was a bit harsh. You see Nairaland has become too toxic with Tribalism that it's difficult to have intelligent discussion on the site. As per Yorubas bravery/cowardice, my take is that Individuals may be cowards or brave but not a whole ethnic group. There are Yoruba, Nupe, Igbo, Fulani, Ewe, Kanuri ,Fon brave men so also there are Igala, Yoruba, Tiv, Igbo or Efik cowards. It's wrong to assess an ethnic group in the same way we assess individuals or by the actions/inactions of one or few individuals. nisai: 2 Likes 1 Share |

We have to be very careful else we'll unleash mayhem on a particular group that might be innocent while the real culprits hide somewhere laughing.. One thing I know is.. some people are out to cause upheaval in this country using the "Fulani" herdsmen as cover. We are fully aware and at alert. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Lol, Igbos are enjoying the whole drama. First of all, It is wrong to just assume the attack was carried out by Fulani, the kidnappers/ robbers/assassins could be Yoruba, Edo, Igbo, Bororo, Hausa or a mixture of tribes. Secondly, OPC have to form a vigilante/militia to secretly tackle the menace head on, then the Yorubas will know what they are truly dealing with. FFK and Odumakin should stop sensationalizing the matter, they're too intelligent for that. First of all capture a Fulani robbery cell and show the whole world what is going on. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Daewang: When will your people ever become anything useful in Nigeria? When will they ever be able to vote peacefully without being harassed by agberos? When will they ever be able to aspire to the highest offices in the land? When will they ever get to 2nd Niger bridge? When will they reclaim their land already taken from them and given to the south south When will your land in Delta and Rivers state be returned? When will your people stop being treated like 4th class citizens every where If your people talk the North will threaten to evict them, the south west will threaten to throw them in the lagoon When will your people be able to talk and walk freely in Lagos without the fear of their 4 by 4 shops been permanently closed by the government? When will your people start enjoying what normal human beings enjoy in the North and South west? When? When?? When 3 Likes |

Developers, do not involve yourselves with Accommodators and Occupiers Wahala . The last time you guys carried Yoruba wahala for head and decided to do something to help them it bounced back at you .I am talking of the Awolowo-Akintola feud which is no different than the Obasanjo/Afenifere vs Tinibu Yoruba Muslim fiasco If Tinubu and his band of Yoruba Muslims want to parcel out Yoruba land for fulani colonies , it is up to the remaining few and sane yorubas to fight him . Already , Odumakin is trying to draw you Igbos into their predicament but not as an ally but rather as a bargaining chip . You will recall Odumakin making a statement that Yoruba nation will join the Biafran struggle , well he made it as a threat to the north , that the SW will no longer be an ally in opposing Biafra secession . He didn't mean joining Biafra to get Odua republic but rather to "join" biafran struggle to spite Fulani domination . Rather than Odumakin to find an end to Fulani occupation of Yoruba land by rallying his own people to kick out fulanis, here he is using Biafra secession as a bargaining tool. You all know how any agreement drawn up with Yorubas on paper is better suited to wipe one's arse given how they betrayed their own end of the agreement to leave Nigeria once Biafra is declared . You developers must leave the accommodators with their occupiers. Let them sort their rent agreement . Signed by Financier 2 Likes |

Daewang: Afonjas stay in their land content and happy! When will anybody from your region be able to make headway in life without stepping foot on Afonja soil? When will anybody think of visiting your region even if for sight seeing? When will your people stop putting all their load in nylon bags on their heads and swarming Afonja land like bees in search of survival When will any body from your region do anything useful with their lives without stepping foot on Afonja land When will erosion stop eating up all your lands while the people sleeps in muddy waters When will ariaria market become liveable for human beings and not animals When will your people look for another profession apart from drugs and prostituition When will Nigeria ever take your people seriously When is Nnamdi Kanu ever going to step his feet in Biafra to save his deluded followers? When I ask again when will your people amount to anything apart from canon folders for the Nigerian army for shooting practice? 3 Likes |

When will afonjas leave internet fraud? When will afonja families abandon incest? When will afonjas abandon international cowardice? When will afonjas stop consuming green, dirty hydraulic soup? When will afonjas stop having a low IQ? When will afonjas stop feeling the need to improve their dna and genetics by marrying Igbo women? Why do all afonjas look like gorillas?
