The Igbos want to leave. Why can't the nation allow them to leave peacefully?

I know of a southern Sudan that left Sudan and suddenly plunge into recession. The Igbos are not afraid of that. They just want to leave. But yet, the entire country is always on their matter like as if they are the most special tribe in the country. grin

Are you sure no one is stopping them? The military should leave their territory and Nigeria should make an official statement that they are off. Peacefully. No need to use force or shed blood. But the military kept saying that the unity is not negotiable. What an outdated way of doing things

you better face the present reality and stop living your life in a mirage, your igbo mates are busy doing businesses wherever they are in the country and you are there hallucinating about things that might not happen in your own generation.

Nigeria does not want Igbos to leave because Nigeria cannot afford to have an independent Biafra nation of drugs beside Nigeria so that Biafra will not turn Nigeria to drug trafficking hub just as Mexico has turned US to drugs country. If Biafra gets independence, in less than three months, all the countries of the world would have placed sanctions on Biafra because Biafra nation will be fully funded by drugs money. When all the countrires of the world sanction Biafra, Biafra will then turn to Nigeria as their(Biafra) drug trafficking route.

However, if Biafra wants to be independent, Bafra should go and find land far away from NIgeria, maybe Israel can give Biafra lands as Biafrans ae the lost Jews of Israel. If not, Biafra will never ever get independence from Nigeria.

But wait ooo, has any Biafran Senator or House of Reps member placed a bill before the National Assebly for Biafra's indepence? NO. these miscreants are just joking.

You didn't include Ironsi's unification decree.
We are all sleeping on the bed prepared by Ibo leaders of the first republic .
It's shameful the same secession these clowns now clamour for was rejected by their forebears over 60 years ago .

Nigeria was destined for the rocks right from time . Too bad Zik's NCNC didn't know this .

No one will answer your question - so no point asking it.

The truth is, Nigeria is finished without Igbo people. If Igbo people want to leave Nigeria, they'd have a better chance leaving as part of a Southern Nigeria, that way they'd get the support of Yoruba people. But a nation by ourselves; they'll fight tooth and nail to prevent it.

Ultimately, if Nigeria is to exist, then it will exist. But it will not survive as it's currently structured. No nation can survive on injustice. Nigeria must be restructured or it WILL COLLAPSE.

Because the igbos have not indicated they want to leave. No igbo representative, like traditional rulers, chiefs, professionals, politicians, businessmen, academics and even spiritual leaders have indicated the intent on leaving. All we have is jobless youths, traders and okada riders along with some igbos in diaspora led by one jobless youth, spewing insults at Nigerians and other Nigerian tribes up and down.

This is because the South South will leave too. The area containing the oil fields where Nigeria makes her money from.

Once any section of the country secedes the entire structure will collapse instantly, the country is not united.

These are the reasons.

stay in your region and conduct a referendum or better still choose your political representatives that align with your train of thought.i.e secession from the union.

No point in voting ibos who wants to stay in one fake nigeria to represent you at the centre only to then turn around and claim mischeviously that others don't want you to leave the "zoo"
.
