Whether China needs to be fair or not, the evidence does not support your claim that the ban hurts China more.

It was American companies that lobbied against the ban claiming it hurts them more. America farmers are crying because there's no buyer for their soybean. The ban itself has been ramped down because America needs Huawei tech. And instead of companies relocating to America they are going to countries close to China because the need Chinese supply chains.

wrong america dont need huawei tech and there are lots of evidence that shows the ban hurts china more and again verizon just tested their 5g network so the race is ON

yes they can b the top 3 but they will always lag behind iPhone and Samsung. IPhone doesn't do commercial yet our people shopped for it. Can you pronounce this name " huawei" in public? China will always try to copy the USA but they will never meet USA level.
Keep wondering why people keep flooding the USA embassy? Why ain't they flooding the china embassy the same way they do flood USA embassy? Because the USA economy is the best economy for everyone. You can't go to china and come back a millionaire but you can go to USA and come back a millionaire, thats why the USA is call the economic house of the world.

China just released their GDP for the last quarter, their growth rate is worst compared to what it was about 3 decades ago.

Chinese Economic experts pointed to the trade war with US as a factor and stated China Economy is a slow mode at the moment and that growth prospects for China are not encouraging if the dispute continues.

I would have posted links here confirming the above, but I felt it is worthless since you can get them by using google.

They were only there to steal intellectual properties and trade secrets from Amercian companies. Don't let anyone fool you. All the major technological innovations have been from the U.S for a reason. Facebook(Instagram, Whatsapp, Messenger) Google (YouTube, Map, Cloud) Microsoft, Twitter, Snapchat, Salesforce, Amazon, etc, the list goes on and on. Now the Chinese are making progress, they also have Tencent, Baidu and WeChat but the only reason why those tech companies are successful is because they are backed and highly favoured by the Chinese government. I was lucky to travel to Beijing once and I couldn't use Google, gmail, google map or any Google products and that's because Google had to pull out of China because of the numerous restrictions.

The Chinese do not play fair and have never played fair. It is very difficult to compete in China and even If they give you a chance, they add very high tariffs to make your products more expensive than the their own companies.

Another reason why china will continue to lag America in tech has to do with their cultural upbringing. American kids are raised to be outspoken and question authority including their parents and teachers. They are opinionated and allowed to express thoughts. Unlike Chinese children who are brood to respect elders and never speak against elders. This fundamental difference is the reason why Americans are creative and risk takers. China is very good at imitating and copying, that's why most of their advancement has been off stolen intellectual property, reverse engineering and patent infringement.

China will always lag behind America in technological prowess.

You can’t blame China for trying to develop and create something good for its citizens. The US and it’s allie keep acting like the POLICE of the world ; placing sanctions , fines, ban etc on countries and institutions all across the globe. That’s the main reason why the Chinese govt want its people to be independent and have their own platform designed for their citizens. And when you talk about culture , they have the right to choose what the foundation of their culture would be ; which is respect . The same US govt is the one spending billions of dollars on building surveillance drone and military weapons , and yet they don’t want other countries to have the same . It’s just mere greed on the US govt part

China posts its lowest quarterly growth in 27 years as the trade war drags on
China's economy grew 6.2% in the second quarter from a year ago, the country's statistics bureau said on Monday.

While China's second quarter GDP was lower on-year, industrial activity in June "surprised to the upside," said Nomura economists in an analysis, with year-on-year growth of industrial production jumping to 6.3% versus 5.0% in May. Retail sales growth jumped to 9.8% from a year ago in June compared to 8.6% in May.

"Bulls might claim that this is a result of the resilience of the Chinese economy and the effectiveness of Beijing's countercyclical easing measures," wrote the Nomura economists said in a note.

Factor in the size of China while you're at it and compare it with GDP Growth Rate in the United States which averaged 3.22 percent from 1947 until 2019. Now tell, how many countries achieve anything as high as China's perceived failure?

On scale alone, American tech will lose. They need the bigger Chinese markets which Huawei would monopolize. And China is bigger than America on tech exports as you'd know just by how difficult it is to find Made in America anything apart from consumable media.

That's wrong assertion. From reports, it's actually companies that are relocating from China to neighbouring countries. I think I am just hearing that tech companies (except Huawei) are relocating to neighbouring countries outside of china. I think the info is obtainable online and there are different analysis of the trending events surrounding the Sino-American trade war

I absolutely disagree with you friend.
If China did not provide the alternative the world would absolutely under the spell of the Americans in terms of cost.

What did Trump expect before? No competition? What's he trying to make out of his white supremacist rule or his America first policy?

Do not forget that Apple relocated their factory to China because of the high cost of labour in America.

Do you know that the whole world buy China? Parts, accessories, engines, etc are produced in China. People buy because they get the right prices.

If Huawei retrench their American staff, the Americans equally lose. The world has grown beyond the present attitude of Trump.

Oh boy, no think am oh!

If you have someone in the US, they will tell you that the country has jobs and that they are even begging their citizens to come and work.

The same thing is happening in Canada now.

With the way I see Chinese citizens rush to enter Nigeria, it may take China another 100 years to be like America.

A friend told me that the same way we rush to enter the US and UK is how Indians and Chinese rush to enter Nigeria.

It feels good to come from a serious country!

God bless America!

How do you expect a country with a population of 1.4 billion humans to have equal opportunities for all of its citizens ?

Some will definitely not have a bright future if they stay home so migration to greener pastures will favor them better.

They still come to Nigeria and work in big corporations mostly owned by their home country because they are innovative.

Or have you employed any Chinese man in your company or seen anyone begging in your street ?
