The governor of Oyo state, Seyi Makinde has publicly declared his assets worth over N48 billion.


The governor has fufilled his campaign promises and also urge others in his team to do the same.



Chief Press secretary to the governor, Taiwo Adisa, in a statement, declared the governor’s worth in the bank to the tone of N234,742,296.01, as at May 28, 2019



Mr. Taiwo said that the form for the declaration of the asset contains details of cash at hand, bank, landed properties, household items, share and bond

He also stated that the wife of the governor, Omini Makinde has companies.



Governor Makinde’s assets declaration cash in dollars valued at $30,056.99 as at date of declaration of assets.

However, in the declaration form Properties developed and those undeveloped worth a whopping sum of N2,624,800,500, as at today.



Converting into dollars, Makinde’s, developed and undeveloped as well as household items valued at $4,400,000.

Makinde owns the following companies: Makon Engineering and Technical Services Limited; Energy Traders and Technical Services Limited; Makon Oil and Gas Limited; Makon Group Limited, Makon Construction Limited and Makon Power System Limited.



The newly elected governor under the platform of PDP also has eurobond worth $3,793, 500 as well as shares, debentures and other securities valued at N120,500,000 as at the date of this declaration.



Engr. Makinde while visited the code of conduct bureau (CCB) in Ibadan, Oyo state capital, to collect the asset declaration forms, he urge members of his cabinet to do same.



During his visit, he said Governor Makinde has declared his assets to the public declaration and this fulfillment of one of his campaign promises.
