If you're interested in RC crafts, the basic thing is to invest in a good Transmitter/receiver. Then get good batteries.
Once these are acquired, cost of having a plane or quad is greatly reduced.

Beginners start with basic TX/RX like the Flysky series but when you get a hang on flying and starts exploring more, there arises need for more sophisticated TX.

I started with TGY9X but after suffering a 'fly-away', (I eventually found the drone, broken to pieces) I saw the need for an upgrade.

Considering the high cost of a new, TX, I opted to upgrade my TGY9X.

I'll share the details in a bit

The 9X is easily the most versatile and cheapest Transmitter for RC applications.
For as low as $70 you can get a radio that is upgradable and compatible with a variety of Receivers including advanced products from FrSky.
Features include 2 sticks, 3 pots, 7 switches and a 128×64 LCD screen. The 9X transmitter is also known as the Eurgle 9x, FlySky 9x, Imax 9x and Turnigy 9x is TGY9X.
The stock model with stock FW isn't much impressive but features could be enhanced through cheap and easy modifications.

With these done, this sub $100 TX can compete with products that are well over $200.
