Ovie, Orodje, Onojie, etc are clearly rendition of Ogie (Benin language for Chief but can also mean King) in other Edoid languages like Isoko, Urhobo, Esan, etc.

Emphasis on Benin because there is nothing like Bini language. Despite correction from the Oba and Benin Traditional Council for decades now, people still wrongly feel the urge to write BINI. Wrong. Even Benin people who are supposed to know better.

all kings in delta and some parts of rivers state are from Benin palace...when oba of Benin conquered those villages,a prince from oba palace is usually made their king..that's why they all page hommage to oba.most times they take their problems to oba to help them resolve it.... remember the dein of agbor story?...how he became the youngest monarch in Nigerian history and his relatives tried killing him and was later sent to oba palace till he became a man
