Better not to sack him when there's no good coach around to replace him...Moreso, his overall performance is still above average

Long term plan for a 66 year old?

Nonsense.

Nigerians can't be pleased in most cases. From the statistics available, the coach is comfortable in his assignment. We have forgotten that we have been down for so long.we are recovering from poor FIFA rankings.we missed the last two editions.
We are now third place in Africa FIFA ranking.
If the matches the coach played is plotted on week 35 of 2018/19 premiere league, this man will be sitting on 3rd position, yet the million on line coaches are calling for his head.
P 35 w 20 d 10 lost 5
Leave him to improve our team

He really did well.
If you are not satisfied with his achievement, your life must be more than perfect.

Jesus! So Nigeria qualifying for world cup is now achievement. Nigeria that was once ranked 4th best in the world. Na wa o.
before nko. Wasn't there a time when Nigeria didn't even qualify for Afcon, not to talk of World Cup. Which i know there was a time they didn't qualify for world cup. Listen, football is not as easy as it used to be, no small teams, no easy matches, so appreciate every success and hope/pray for a better outing next tournament. Just encourage and wish them well. It's not easy.

Bros, if you've ever played competitive football for 90mins, you will know that football is not fried rice & chicken.

Why cant we sign such contract with our local coaches.

Why cant we sponsor one of our own towards attaining professional coaching training oversees ?

Why must it always be an expatriate?
colonial and neo colonial mentality..
.after 2014 world cup.to increase keshi salary from 5m was an issue today we pay this guy over 16m and yet he doesn't stay in Nigeria to watch our local league keshi had local boys in his team then...i think Nigerian coaches too should place value on themselves before taking national team jobs get lawyers to insert good clauses or refuse the job...simple...the way keshi was sack was an embarrassment for a man who won afcon and took Nigeria to second round...Hassan shehata of Egypt won afcon thrice but started having bad results Egypt allowed him to resign they didn't sack him...that's honor for man who did well for them

You can't sack him because you're afraid of paying him his 370 million naira release clause. Not that that money is as much as what you guys steal on a monthly basis though.
To be sincere I'm surprised that the team even got this far, with their tiresome football. 20 wins out of 35 is not a cup winning material.
no mind the yeye man, he thinks international competitions is the same as a national league, a single loss can b brutal, as we all witnessed during these competitions, past and present.

This was what Sunday Oliseh did and he remains the only local coach to have been paid his entitlements in full after his dismissal.

The problem is that most of you guys did not watch when Nigeria played amazing football so u guys don't understand. Nigeria had a pattern of football which was unique to it, that's why most of our players then played in the best leagues in the world and won the champions league. Most of our players came from academy's, secondary schools, universities, the streets. When other countries spent years developing their football to get to where they are, we allowed greed, corruption to destroy ours. A coach passionate and hungry for success can take Nigeria to the semis of the world cup. We have thousands of players in the world at various leagues, players who play regularly season after season even though they might not be in EPL, they are still in competitive leagues. How do you explain that the highest goal scorers in our domestic league did not play at AFCON? Or the best goalkeeper in our league was not selected?

oliseh is enlighten and played football too...keshi after the world cup should have step aside after NFF refused to give him an improved contract...im coming back exposed him to ridicule... Nigerian environs doesn't place premium on anything...
