I feel terrible and somewhat sullied spiritually positing the following suggestion but perhaps Nigeria has arrived at a point where executing kidnapers is unequivocal. In addition, if implemented we have to do so quickly, i.e. the time between arrest of kidnapper court and execution must be swift. If we do not, I expect no end to kidnappings for it will mushroom into an industry joined by many impatient unemployed persons of which there are legions in Nigeria. Those of neighbouring nations too, will head here, as some herders have, bent on exploiting the relative wealth of Nigeria in comparisons to much of Africa.

Nigeria does not have the capacity to imprison the many that there will be and it will be more cost effective to get rid of them by execution from the political body.

I don't know the manner of training or quality of training they receive that they get easily killed by untrained persons during shoot outs. I can imagine the soldiers walking arrogantly, non challant, non conscious that they are obvious target. How could the two soldiers have died without one surviving and killing at least one of the attackers.
Our military is a glorified boys scout! So sad.
The same arrogance and carelessness they display at check points. Making and answering phone call and generally not at alert.
