As part of the fulfillment of his campaign promise to make workers’ welfare a top priority, Ondo State governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, on Friday inaugurated 27 new Permanent Secretaries and three Tutors-General.

The governor had in 2017 appointed 14 permanent secretaries, making it 44 top civil servants that his administration would elevate to that enviable position.

Speaking during the Swearing-In Ceremony of the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries and Tutors-General at the International Culture and Events Center (DOME) in Akure, the state capital, Akeredolu said the new appointments were aimed at promoting harmony in public service.

The Governor, who revealed that the promotion exercise for 2019 was already in progress, assured that no civil servant who deserved promotion would be denied.

He said the government under his leadership would continue to insist on equity and merit as the guiding principles on critical issues.

Akeredolu said: “Our administration, at inception, made a solemn pledge that the welfare of workers would be a priority.

“We promised to ensure that workers’ salaries would be paid regularly. We also assured the good people of this state on our determination not to allow political considerations to overwhelm good reasoning and sound judgment. You are all living witnesses to the fulfillment of these promises.

“We will encourage diligence, honesty and dedication to the service of the people. This is why, even in the face of dwindling resources, we have embarked on massive infrastructural rehabilitation and expansion at all fronts – education, health, road, agriculture, rural development, human capital development, among others

“We have also kept faith with empowering our people, especially the women and vulnerable. We shall continue in this wise.”

The Governor charged the new permanent secretaries to rededicate themselves to service and resist any overture which may compromise professionalism.

Hey guy its better u guys should tell akeredolu what's important to focus on
Ondo is close to my state
So I have ondo at heart and I want u to tell him to focus on important things
U can see the little bit of things Ogun did, even though it's not enough,it had an impact in Ogun
Ondo is the next big thing in Yoruba land after Lagos and Ogun
Oyo is moving backwards everyday
Pls tell him to build important edifice in d state
He should focus on akure ondo akoko parts owo and southern ondo
There is too much poverty in ilaje
I've seen ilaje many times and I don't like it
I will tell u this fact
I'm a Yoruba person
But after awolowo, Yorubas don't have leader
Forget tinubu and all that stupid jagaban crap
Yorubas don't have leaders

But we can create a new future,please tell akeredolu to focus on important things

If you have been following Ondo State, then you'd know that Ondo State is no longer where it used to be. A lot has been done in infrastructural development and industrialization. About 4 industries initiated by Governor Akeredolu’s administration will soon begin operation in Ondo State. In Education, over 700 public schools have been reconstructed and more will be done soon. Governor Akeredolu has constructed more roads than any governor in the state. His midas touch has been felt in every sector of the State.
