Gunmen have kidnapped four Turkish nationals in Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State, police said on Sunday, Igbere TV reports.

Kwara police spokesman, Ajayi Okasanmi, said the foreigners, said to be construction workers, were kidnapped at a bar in Gbale village late Saturday, Igbere TV reports.

He named the victims as Seyit Keklik, 25; Yasin Colak, 33; Ergun Yurdakul, 35; and Senerapal, 40.

Mr Okasanmi said the police commissioner, Kayode Egbetokun, had dispatched teams under Operation Puff Adder in the area to rescue the expatriates.

The spokesman said the CP had also directed that the suspected kidnappers be arrested.

He assured that rescue efforts were already yielding positive results.

I keep saying it, it is the day Nigeria govt start persecution of criminals publicly, like a station dedicated for that, that is when the rate of criminality will reduce, take Saudi for example even though the world amnesty have caution them, they didn't stop, how many people fit do crime for there when u know very well ur head will go down with their sword not gun, Nigeria government are just too cold , but hot when it come to looting tax money

25.....35.....years old construction workers paid in hard currency by a Govt in the name of foreign expatriates. Every year, our Institutions turn out hundreds of these brilliant engineers into a saturated labour market.
Now the same Govt will negotiate and pay huge sums to free some Turkish hostages...Turkey fa!
