Kwara Assembly Revokes Alimi Chalet Acquired By Saraki by prof2007: 11:51pm On Jul 23, 2019
Kwara State House of Assembly has revoked the acquisition of Alimi Chalet by the immediate past Senate President and former governor of the state, Dr Bukola Saraki. The revocation followed the voiding of the acquisition, valuation and certification of land title (Right of Occupancy) in respect of the chalet in the personal name of Dr Bukola Saraki for non-compliance with provisions of the Pensions Law 2010.

This was part of resolutions by the House, following presentation of the report of the House Committee on Lands, Housing and Urban Development by its chairman, Omotayo Awodiji, on the floor of the House. Reading the resolutions of the House, the Speaker, Yakubu Salihu, said the revocation became expedient to ensure an enduring end to all forms of illegalities and abnormalities to pave way for meaningful development of the state. The House then urged the state government to immediately explore every available legal process to recover the chalet from the former governor.

Awodiji had, while presenting his report, observed among other things that the Alimi Chalet was purposely built by the state government as a guest chalet for the sitting governors and not transferable as exit package for any outgoing governor while the chalet, according to him, does not fit into the recommendations of the Pension Law of 2010.

He, however, explained that the House was not probing former Senate President but mandated its standing committee to investigate ownership of Alimi Chalet.

Nothing truly last forever!
Enough is really enough for Saraki in Kwara State!
The over 32 people killed in the Offa robbery is still fresh in our mind.
This is just the beginning of the end for Bukola.

Enough is really enough for Saraki.

Is Lagos any better with the JagbaJantis who has done everything to ensure no one unravels and reveals his shady deals, acquisitions and stealing that made a pauper like him in 1998 to be richer than a state in 2018.

I remain grateful to Gbenga Daniel – Tinubu dismisses rift rumors

A national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has cleared the air on the alleged enmity between him and a former two-term Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel.

Tinubu, who spoke through Mr. Wale Edun at the 25th anniversary celebration of Otunba Gbenga Daniels’ Kresta Laurel, said there is no truth in the stories that he has been fighting with Gbenga Daniel, adding that they are still good friends.

Edun said: “I am here representing Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and my presence is to show that there is no friction between Asiwaju and Otunba Gbenga Daniel”

Mr. Edun went on to explain that whenever Tinubu drives past the Kresta Laurel building in Maryland, Lagos, he remembers the enormous contributions Daniel made to the take off of his administration in 1999 and was immensely grateful.

He revealed that the Peoples Democratic Party chieftain was very gracious to donate the Kresta Laurel building to Tinubu’s campaign team at the time it was just being completed.

“The Daniels also made a section of their home available to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu whenever he worked too late and could not go home.
After the election, he also allowed us to use it for the Transition Committee where he was a member”
