"Louis, I have been to your office and your secretary told me you weren't yet at work" Charles said as soon as louis stepped into the lobby.


"oh, yeah, am just coming back from the hospital" Louis replied tiredly.


"Hospital?, what is happening there?" Charles asked in a daze.


"They are sharing goat meat pepper soup there, with a chilled bottle of HERO, idiot" he hissed and continued walking.


"you dey craze ooo, what i mean is, what did you go to the hospital to do?" Charles asked following him to his office.


"Charles, Hello?, have you forgotten?, am sick and i will soon die, where else should i visit if not the hospital?" louis asked snapping his fingers in Charles' face.


"Louis come on, why are you like this?, have you forgotten that you told me you wouldn't go for any transplant when you are not sure of surviving and you won't visit any hospital or any doctor again" Charles said getting irritated.



"yea, i know i said that, but my dear, I have gotten a reason to live, a reason to stay back, that was what i went to tell doctor Joe" he smiled.


"A reason to live?, don't tell me that you are referring to that bedsheet lady?, i thought you were done with her" Charles eyed him.


"Done ke?, with who?, my Nanya?, noooo, we are just starting, na now the relationship dey sweet well well" Louis replied laughing loudly.


"There is something you are not telling me, by the way, speaking of her, i have not seen her at work for sometime now, is that how hardworking she is?, she comes to work when she feels like?" Charles scoffed.


"I gave her months off Charly" louis said still smiling.


"Now you really need to tell me what is going on, why did you do that?" he shifted uneasily.


"She is carrying my seed in her stomach, I have scored a goal" Louis winked.


"I know you hate football, so telling me that you scored a goal should be with a game pad and a television, and you are not a farmer either, so which seed is she carrying in her stomach" Charles asked again sweating.


"She is pregnant for me Ode, how did you even pass your literature exams in secondary School sef?" He hissed.



"Pregnant?" Charles shouted but then brought down his voice and asked "Are you sure the baby is yours?"


"Charles, na only heart failure i get, i no dey impotent, the baby is mine, i will soon be a father and am gonna make sure i live for that" he danced while still sitting on the chair.


"Oh, am happy for you man, i will soon be a god father" Charles said giving a fake smile.


"Yea, you can say that again bro" he laughed loudly again.









"Hold on, am coming" Nanya said as the knock on the door sounded again.


"What are you doing here Mrs Charity Obidinma" she asked in anger, confusion and fear.


"Won't you at least invite me in?" Mrs Charity asked.


"Say everything from there" Nanya hissed.


"Fine then, you have to stop whatever you are doing with Walter's son, it won't work, he will end up hurting you at the end, and secondly, i want you to pack your bags and follow me home" she replied tapping her foot on the ground.


"Wao wao, slow down, how did you know about i and louis?, and why do you suddenly want us back?" she asked.


"Come on Nanya, that i don't treat you and your sister well doesn't mean am dumb, i know everything going on in your life right now, where you work, Walter's son, whatever his name is, i don't want to know." she replied with a wave of hand.



"Oh my gosh she said my name, someone just said my name, this is crazy and funny right now, you neglected i and my sister for so many years, and now, we have gotten a saviour, you are telling us to leave him?, that is impossible mom" she replied as tears gathered in her eyes.



"Just come with me and forget him, I don't want you to make the mistakes i made when i was your age"


"To hell with your mistakes mom, am not you, i won't be like you" she yelled making the tears drop down.


"Wait a minute, you are looking different, your face is glowing and your waist has added, are you menstruating?, or you are just eating too much?" she asked taking a step back to scrutinize her very well.



"Am pregnant mom, and louis is responsible" she said amidst tears.



"No, it can't be, you can't get pregnant for him, his father hurt me badly and i don't want that to happen to you too, you should abort this baby at once" she said going to hold Nanya's hand.


"You are sick, please leave and never come back" Nanya replied shutting the door to her face.
