MAINTENANCE TIPS FOR INVERTER & BATTERIES

1. AVOID APPLIANCES WITH HEATING ELEMENTS

Appliances with heating elements such as iron, water heaters, microwave ovens, electric kettle, electric stove(cooker), boiling ring etc are not good for the health of inverter batteries. Avoid connecting them to inverters.

2. INPUT & OUTPUT VOLTAGE

Check input and output voltage of the inverter regularly. If Generator is used to charge batteries, ensure generator delivers 220V±10% and 50Hz±1%.

3.HOW MUCH BACKUP TIME CAN I GET.

The less the loads the more power back up time you will receive. Manage your loads diligently. Do not overload your inverter.

4.DEEP CHARGE

Let the inverter charge the batteries fully with the inverter power button in OFF position daily. This helps ensure deep charging and longer battery life.

5.DEPTH OF DISCHARGE FOR SMF BATTERIES

Every battery has life cycles (A cycle is one discharge and one recharge or vice versa) The deeper your discharge, the less are your battery life cycles. Hence do not deep discharge batteries.

6.ENERGY SAVING.

Always use energy saving bulbs for all your lighting powered by the inverter. As a rule of thumb, do not use bulbs that are rated more than 25watts on your inverter.
