Many ways to achieve this (forum)
if you have existing website and still want to use it for forum:
you can create subdomain such as "forum.yourdomain.com"
then install your forum in the subdomain and create menu to link to the forum
likewise you can create subfolder such as www.yourdomain.com/forum
install your forum in the subfolder and create menu to link

if you want to use whole domain as a forum just like this nairaland

Go to your cpanel to install it.

I prefer using simple machine forum script.
