Jodera:I like us to get Soares and anyone of them would be fine by me, I just don't like it when Zaha is being underated, he might not be £80m, but definitely around £60, players like Rodri,Ndombele,Felix, do they have shiny stats to have worth such prices? Zaha is a winger, he will help us break teams packing bus, defenders bullying us,win fouls,( card) and penalties.. Sky sports are not stewpid to bring those stats, they showed some important parts of the game aside goals and assist Moreover, he has Auba and laca, they will convert his chances better than benteke and Batshuayi, he's got Bellerin,Ozil, iwobi,Tierney, Ceballos to create for him... He's hasn't played at high stage,he will be motivated,he will relish playing in Europa and UCL,he has everything to fight for, he's not coming an over achiever from Juve or Madrid.. He's gon fight and learn more.. He's 26, he can do it for 5 years, I'll rather enjoy that than relying on average players or kids or loanees who won't still cut it after many years.. Even if he fails here, he's not the most expensive, pogba, lukaku and Fred's fee never win UCL or league so no biggy. |

Fkhalifa:Exactly, me to, I would love Soares, that's why I said if we can get 2 wingers, I'll be glad. But it's like he's(zaha) underrated here which is surprising. Everton only came to limelight through the copa which is just 7 matches(highest) with a quality Brazil team, so I won't read much into it. I just hope that if we bid for Everton, I pray he become a hit if he comes here. And like you said he's zaha is worth £60-65 in this present market but not £80m or £35m. I just hope we get Tierney and zaha or Everton tho... |

Jodera:but instead of getting zaha for 80m We can get Malcolm and Soares for a combine 80m |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Jodera: 10:44am On Jul 27, 2019 |
iamoyindamola:Maybe I agree on Soares, but I don't think we need Malcolm. He hardly beats his Man or stretch defences. There's a reason we're not in for him even as barca gave us a leeway and I understand with it. I don't see someone like Malcolm will improve our wing issues |

| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Fkhalifa(m): 11:10am On Jul 27, 2019 |
Jodera:Ability to beat your man with trickery, Pace and power is all we need, Fraser does much of running and crossing, Target man like Giroud would benefit from him not Auba and laca who like it on the ground. |

Fkhalifa:I was talking about Soares not Frazer. I wouldn't want Frazer too, but I guess I'll prefer him to Malcolm. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Jodera: 12:48pm On Jul 27, 2019 |
iamoyindamola:mehn, if this is true, then it's not so bad. We can't use ligue 1 to judge him, and he's still young. Who knows, he might turn out a hit. Since they want to spread the 80m over the years which is not bad. Palace don't want maybe part payment and I don't know about gremio. Maybe all these 3rd party deal is an issue that's obstructing the deal. Pepe might not be so bad tho, fingers crossed. But we need Tierney. |

Dreamswayne:Don't say that bro, Pepe was the biggest thing in Ligue 1 last season, he had suitors all over Europe. With our limited budget, I would have preferred a Soares or even Zaha with that amount. Zaha cos of his EPL experience... |

Signing Pepe would be one hell of a coup by Raul Sanllehi and his team. Pepe led his Lille team to a 2nd position last season. In my opinion, Pepe is better than Zaha and Everton Soares and this is because he is, first of all, a team player with incredible humility. He is quite powerful, endowed with trickery and speed to beat any situation. He helps out his team on defense and is deadly on counter-attacks because of his on-ball speed, intelligence and ability to create for others. While Zaha is proven in the EPL and no scrub, he has the propensity to pout and throw tantrums when things are not going his way and to me, this is not what we need in the locker room especially since we don't have a leader at this time. Zaha's disruptiveness will divide the team and kill morale especially when results are not going our way. The mentality of this team is still very weak and that will not change considering the core of the "senior kpangolos" are still with us. There is nothing Zaha can do that Pepe can not do even better in my opinion, irrespective of the fact that he is coming from the French Ligue. Many have forgotten that there was a time the core of our team was built with players from the French League. The French League is renowned for producing exciting young talents who transition into other leagues seamlessly in comparison to players from other leagues. |

The attached is my post about Raul Sanllehi last year when I was discussing the importance of his appointment with @Spy360 and he is definitely proving me right. He has been meticulous and quite patient with his transfer dealings and we are seeing the fruits. Now, get me Tierney before we close shop for this transfer season and I will be happy going into the new season.

Before anyone comes quoting spurious prices, the agreed price for N. Pepe is 72 million pounds and not 80 million pounds as being rumored. More importantly, it is a 5-year installment payment. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by BlueRayDick: 2:53pm On Jul 27, 2019 |
I just watched pepe on YouTube well, he plays more direct football than Zaha does. I don't know maybe it's cos he plays in the ligue 1, but I hope he replicates what I saw at arsenal. The fact that we even have the chance of paying over a five month period makes it good. |

iamoyindamola:You are right and thanks for the correction, we played Rennes, not Lille. That being said, I follow the French league and have watched Pepe closely and I think he will be a good addition for us. |

Wasn't Pepe a Mislintant recommendation?? Does it mean it was him we have been chasing all through the window but used Zaha as a smoke screen?? Mehn, I hope he works out... 72 or 80 million no be beans Heading to YouTube in 3,2,1... |

Keky:You're not the type I like to engage, you used insultive and provocative words just because you disagree with people's opinion, Show some class aburo! You brought long forgotten conversation here again, it shows you're still pained, let me whine, it is my keyboard. At the end of last season, wasn't I proved to be correct and be to be a realist, some even came here to admit and realized some of my facts and saw I wasn't just ranting and moaning.. Did we win Europa, did we get top4? We lost both embarassingly and in a disgraceful manner. So what else? Go to other sites and TV stations, you see several complaining more than we do.if you are okay with failure and embarrassment, that's you. Many have come to realize we've got some not good enough players, some old and weak, some not ready some dead woods and how we lacked wingers, strong energetic players, leaders, defenders and fighters... I reiterated my stance on wanting Soares and zaha, only to be shocked seeing pepe, I've not totally condemned him,I only need to be convinced or consoled and Mr Roland and others are doing that nicely. Please Mr keky don't ever address me in an uncivil manner again except if I've done such to you. |
