To be honest, this Pepe signing does not excite me. From what I've seen of the guy, he does not worth that money. Well, Arsenal scouts know more about football than me, and I'm willing to give the guy a chance.

At least, we will finally have a natural winger.

Roland17:
Signing Pepe would be one hell of a coup by Raul Sanllehi and his team. Pepe led his Lille team to a 2nd position last season.

In my opinion, Pepe is better than Zaha and Everton Soares and this is because he is, first of all, a team player with incredible humility. He is quite powerful, endowed with trickery and speed to beat any situation. He helps out his team on defense and is deadly on counter-attacks because of his on-ball speed, intelligence and ability to create for others.

While Zaha is proven in the EPL and no scrub, he has the propensity to pout and throw tantrums when things are not going his way and to me, this is not what we need in the locker room especially since we don't have a leader at this time. Zaha's disruptiveness will divide the team and kill morale especially when results are not going our way. The mentality of this team is still very weak and that will not change considering the core of the "senior kpangolos" are still with us. There is nothing Zaha can do that Pepe can not do even better in my opinion, irrespective of the fact that he is coming from the French Ligue.

Many have forgotten that there was a time the core of our team was built with players from the French League. The French League is renowned for producing exciting young talents who transition into other leagues seamlessly in comparison to players from other leagues.

The guy is good, but not that good. But, he definitely has the potential to turn into a beast. He played during the last afcon, but he was very poor. Hopefully, it's just a one off. If he adapt like Mane, then Arsenal will have a fantastic player on their books.

But, I wished we signed Zaha. That guy is a beast, but definitely not worth £80m.

Baba, you have every right to be hesitant because it is a very important position that you personally have been yearning for and it is a huge financial investment for us long term. Pepe is primarily left-footed but can string combinations using his right leg. His left is mostly for trickery and delivery. He plays mostly on the right side of the midfield including the right-wing but he can rotate in the final third and has been used as a striker in the past.

From what I have seen, the guy is talented no doubt...

His trickery is not as much as that of Zaha but he can easily beat players with his pace, power and directness...

If he can do this in the epl is what I don't know though...

One more thing, he can score...

Hope he doesn't turn out to be another Gervinho...

he's a good finisher compare to the wso called wingers we had and can use both feet.
For one on one take in he doesn't really have that but he's super fast with long legs

Aside crystal palace, where has Zaha performed? What has he done in his national team?

I get what you're saying, but not everyone performs for their national team. I don't know if you don't like Zaha, but be honest, the guy is a very good player. Yes, he does not score goals like modern day wingers, but there is a whole lot more to his game.

If you watch him against the big 6, you'll how much he terrorizes their defense.

cool
You understand how I feel bro, I fear he flops, you know we haven't recovered from money spent on xhaka, mustafi and l.Perez, and baba Kroenke isn't the type that coughs out dough anyhow, Pepe must deliver all cost, get into better positions in the league and in Europe that will generate money which will take us to Atletico level.

He won't be Gervinho, but a Sterling. I wish he shoot more outside the box when he gets into those Robben,Messi and Sallah positions.

I think Auba will benefit a lot from CF position, Also we need our Ams to run into box to shoot from his chances.

If Arsenal can complete the deal, they will have the most deadly attack in the premier league.
Aubameyang, Lacazette Pepe

Pleaey Emery should not use Auba on that left wing, he's a CF.
We need to get Soares in January, Sell Auba next summer and bring in Diego jota to rotate with laca.

I said what I've seen of Pepe so far, he is not worth 80m. Everybody that watched afcon knew he played poorly. At least with Zaha, we know he can handle EPL. I'm not saying Pepe can't, but it's a big gamble (the same if we have bought Zaha). Either way, let's see what will happen. I'm hopeful.

P.s. I'm still looking for where I 'rubbished' Pepe in my post. huh huh huh

Next summer I said...I can see several formation from fans forcing Auba and laca together, Auba is best at CF then as RW, anything else won't make sense..

Now we have a winger who creates and scores, so he (_Auba) should not be wasted at that Lw..So it makes sense we sell him next yearz he's getting old and we can fetch dough from china, I don't want ozil, mhicky case again, daz how progressing teams do now, bring in Diego jota..

Diego jota is 22,Portuguese, good on air, shoots very well and performed, he's the next big thing, watch out for this space cheesy

I am very sad to see X. Amaechi leave Arsenal. The kid is quite talented, however, he has struggled to stay healthy. I wish him all the best at Hamburg where he will get a lot of playing time with the first team. Arsenal has a sell-on clause but no buyback on Amaechi. I will be staying in touch with him and hope he blossoms.

is arsenal not the most useless football club in the world ?

they keep shouting that they have only £45million to spend this season yet they still went on to loan a player for over £15million for just one season without an option to buy

and then they bought a defender for £25million and send him back on loan almost immediately, when you know that your current crop of defenders are nothing to write home about huh
You for cool down before you post this rubbish...

Sanchez was someone that has performed very well in the epl before United bought him. Torres is still fresh in our minds
