Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has arrived in Kaduna to commiserate with the parents of Precious Owolabi, the youth corps members who was killed on Monday, during the face-off between Shiite protesters and the Nigerian police in Abuja.

Owolabi was working for Channels TV until his death.

Osinbajo is accompanied by Governor Nasir El-Rufai, who received him at Kaduna Airforce Base, according to a tweet by Osinbajo’s spokesman, Laolu Akande.

The parents of Owolabi live in the university town of Zaria.

He wrote on twitter;

“Nothing will ever compare with the pain of losing a child.
PST.YOU NOW BELIEVE THAT INSECURITY IN NIGERIA IS NOT EXAGERATED AS YOU CLAIMED. TELL UR BOSS TO OBEY THE RULE OF LAW AND THIS YOUR VISIT WILL NOT BE NECESSARY.

I would rather he actually makes sincere efforts to fix the problems of the country as if it was his own son that died, I would wish he calculates the cost of going to Zaria and sends the monetary equivalent while delegating a house of assembly member or dep gov to do the job. His damn presence there really changes nothing so make we talk true and lastly I'd prefer he goes without cameras and fanfare to attract public sympathy or score cheap political points
