Hello.. a friend just sent me pics of this cheap cool car.. an infiniti fx35 2008 for the last price of 1.5million.. from the pictures it looks too good to be true but i plan on going there with a mechanic for inspection in two days time.. i still have a bad feeling that its too good to be true and that i would still not trust the mechanic judgement tommorrow if it turns out positive cos the prices i am seeing for this model is mostly between 2million and 3million on jiji and others like.. can anyone give me advice that its a reasonable price and not awoof.. picture below

Apart from it's fuel consumption, blindspots and electrical glitches if you by pass electrical it's an ok vehicle and shouldn't be expensive to maintain.

The engine is a VQ35DE not more than 250k tokunbo and the gear is around 150k the issue is the exterior parts are expensive and vandals do take advantage of this.

If the car is bad,we won't have experts in Infiniti and Nissan products,the mistake people make is when you take a Nissan product to a Toyota mechanic what do you expect.Even cardillac has it's own experts in Nigeria.As far as I am concerned all cars are good in as much you have the right mechanic and you maintain regularly.

I can't argue about that but this particular model seems to be every professional mechanic headache but I'm sure the auto company must have corrected the issues in the new generation of the model.

The v6 is carried, not problematic at all . Buy it toks change gear oil every year with oem. Use synthetic engine oil avoid flooded areas. If used everyday be ready to spend at least 7-8k on PMS every week this SUV is a speed monster try doing 200km with ac you won't realise your speeding . Good luck from a user.

What if it's not toks? A Nigerian used?

Does the reliability issues also affect the Infiniti M35 2006 model?
I think its the same engine on the FX35.

You said that's your first car right? If the car is fully inspected by your mechanic make sure it not the ones that will giving signs to the seller to say sweet things about the car give both of them close marking while inspection
