A job well done by the senators. They have placed national interest above personal interest.

Which national interest are you talking about? as far as am concerned , the entire process is a waste of time and resources considering all the corrupt personalities....

the right thing to do was to just deliberate on the names and send back their approval or subject it to the antigraft and security agencies for their checks and subsequent approvals....

My major issue with the screening is that it is often conducted without knowledge of the portfolio to be assigned to the nominees.

It makes the screening a mere chat and futile effort.

Can you imagine an applicant for a job being interviewed without particular job responsibilities, tasks and requirements in view.

It will just be a waste of quality time.

How exactly have they done that,...... LET ME GUESS;
By screending ministers without their portfolios or by just asking the many lots to Bow and Leave ?

The 9th assembly led by lawan ...
Imagine a school that admit all prospective Student.
Or a Office that employs every intended employee.
Or rather a country that grants every visa application.
Or let's say a Exam everybody pass..
As good as we assume God is... He made it clear that we all won't pass his Exam.
Give it up for APC... they're the best to ever run down this country.
They're doing better than Abacha and The then General Buhari combined.
Did PDP reject any of their nominees while in power?

Rubber stamp.

how many nominees did your state house of assembly reject?

In actual fact ,the constitution did not expect the senate to reject any nominee of the president, except in confirmed and decided cases of corruption and security breach, etc.

What many people forget to appreciate is that the president is actually the employer, not the senate.

Moreover Senate is part of government that must be in the same direction, except in the cases of corruption and security breach or any other issue against the interest of the majority of Nigerians.

So enough of all these rubber stamp nonsense.

Error of reasoning and judgement.

The screening and selection is the duty of the executive led by the president and that had been done.Only 43 out of millions of qualified Nigerians had been chosen.

So not every ''student'' was admitted nor every ''visa ''application granted.

The role of the Senate is to approve or '' rubber stamp'' ,to give it a legal effect, except in exceptional cases of confirmed, constitutional breach, corruption, security or other critical issues.

E.g if any nominee is a decided criminal or terrorist.3 nominees from a state when another state has zero.

If there is no constitutional breach,a senate is suppose to approve, for the country to move forward .take it or leave it!

Do not be brain washed .
