There is an immigrant/migration crisis in Europe at the moment, so many people on boats from Africa landing on coastal regions. So you see those 'black foreheads' almost everywhere in the EU nowadays. In Madrid, where they are welcome, they are come up in your faces with wrist bands and items at the city center and Metros. The ones in France seem to be more aggressive on TV with their frequent riots Learnt they are more in Germany, and spread through Sweden across the EU.

Anyway, living in a country is a whole lot different from just visiting. Do you speak French? and you are just being mischievous when you say Abuja is more beautiful than Paris. Well, it depends on what you take into consideration. Abuja is chilled, people who live there don't complain as much as some of us from other states.

When you visit countries you mostly get to know about the aesthetics and terrain and a little of the culture but when you live there, then you actually live through their policies and laws and see a lot of what people, the citizens complain or are happy about. France can be great for education and other endeavours, it all depends on what you are going for and if you are fluent in the language. Personal experience, two friends both educated there one left to Germany and works with an international company, the other remained and is doing great in Finance as she could speak French before she left Nigeria. I have a number of other African colleagues who migrated that are also doing great across the EU and UK. It all depends on what one is going there to do. Is it going to be easy? Hell no! but believe there are more and more Africans doing great in those societies not playing football and singing.

Illegal migration, which includes overstaying, is illegal and does not come with any rights. It seems permissible in the US because of legal technicalities but it still is a huge struggle which nobody with a decent income even in Nigeria should abandon everything for. The OP created this thread to warn, despite his own unique situation and how he wiggled his way through, but he sure knows. Only people who haven't been to the US think it's Eldorado.

Anyway, suffer plenty for US pass the whole EU and UK combined and a certain way to partake in that suffering is to become an illegal in the US. The risk is worth it depending on where you are coming from. Opportunities are more in the US, bigger place, much bigger economy.
