Any body elected to govern Lagos state will perform well, no matter how daft he or she is..so is not about sanwo olu or ambode or even that frog eyed godfather ![]() The person has no reason to fail with the huge IGR from that state.. Lagos is equivalent to some countries ![]() |

drskyfly007:Someone crafted the Generation and judicious use of that IGR you are referring to today, there are States who are richer than Lagos but they do not have visionary leaders who can turn things around. 13% derivation from 2008 till date will build you a world class infrastructure that can't be rival by any other states, just a reminder |

Solatium:Who asked you for unsolicited stories? Didn't Ambode also buy vehicles for RRS and Lastma, did he establish them? Fashola established LRU, not Ambode, shikena. If you think you know well and you want to tell us stories, tell the stories to the extent of involvement of Avant-garde Management Services. They created the command and control centre. Ask your brother. |
| Re: See The Moment Sanwo-olu Stormed LRU Office At Alausa - Photos by drskyfly007(m): 10:29am On Aug 01, 2019 |
Solatium:Lagos has managed to generate revenue from a variety of sources, including manufacturing, transport, construction and wholesale and retail, which together account for a bulk of its GDP. Note..No other state in Nigeria generates much IGR as Lagos! Lagos is commercial nerve centre of Nigeria and would have been the fifth best economy if it was a country.. So bro stop giving glory to that someone ..It is a collective effort! |

I hope people can now see why Lagosians trust Tinubu's selection when it comes to governorship in Lagos. The guy sabi harness talent while keeping the other non talented ones happy with their position. I know certain governors in some states that he would not have even recommended to be councilors, |

drskyfly007:You talk as if those things are not in existence elsewhere, Whatever Lagos has,Kano state can March that, whatever Lagos posse's,Rivers can be closer, but unfortunately those who had governed those states lack vision. From ₦600million monthly in 1999 to ₦20billion monthly in 2015 when Fashola left,Ambode yóò that to ₦30billion monthly before he left and you are here talking gibberish. You think capturing tax areas and making sure continuous remittance is a joke abi? Dey there make you dey reinforce failure |

Okoyeeboz:And who founded RRS and LASTMA Before they were equipped by subsequent administration? To some of you,you have this believe that something exist without the input of another, you can not build something on nothing,my contribution was just a reminder of what you ommited. as for the Avant garde issues, since you know this much, tell us what has happened in between that period and present situation |

olaolulazio:What is the work of the LGA Chairmen? Do you know? How does it differ from that of a governor? Try to find out before you over hail. And what is the point of comparing with the worst governors? I am sure you don't inspire yourself personally that way, or do you? Do you know when the light rail of since 1984 will be completed ![]() www.nairaland.com/attachments/3084794_DumbPeople_jpg287f2b4d3ead2f536f99f92cbca9c590 |

Solatium:What is all this chest beating and bragging about IGR alone, which is collected directly and indirectly from the people's pockets? Have you seen the costs of all the projects done by LASG? Or that does not matter? Too much opacity is the breeding room for corruption, looting and stealing. www.nairaland.com/attachments/2776311_borehole_jpeg6982552b3aa8ea67bec1da4c0172b398 www.nairaland.com/attachments/2776329_lagosprojects2_jpega666e650b9fc5a14f04fa6a8ba0d8a3d Btzzk: |

Solatium:Dude let me educate you on why Lagos is getting better since 1999 as evidenced from the increased IGR..read attentively. 1) commercial nerve centre. Lagos is the home of most of the headquarters of companies and businesses in Nigeria.Oil companies, banks etc.( relocate these oil headquarters to rivers or some other States and also relocate the bank headquarters and see if there won't be reduction in commercial business transaction in Lagos which will ultimately affect IGR....)This is beyond Tinubu, fashola, ambode or sanwo olu..They were just beneficiaries!!! 2)sea port...The Atlantic Ocean provides an opportunity for Nigeria to connect to the west especially in terms of trade and commerce.( at least that frog eyed godfather didn't create Atlantic ocean na )3). Entertainment...Lagos is fast becoming the Los Angeles of Nigeria with its blooming entertainment industry. Am busy at the clinic with patients, so time won't permit me to type more.... ![]() |

drskyfly007:You said you wanted to educate someone but you ended confusing yourself more and sounds like a broken record. Is there a law that states a company headquarters must be in Lagos? oil exploration is been done in niger Delta and the companies can decide to have their HQ there but they chose to be in Lagos for the fact that the structure works,we all know how shell, elf, Chevron and the rest ran away from the SS . Are there no port in Calabar? Calabar port began commercial operation ahead of Lagos, was it well managed? For your information Calabar was the first capital of Nigeria. No entertainment industry will take her trade to a place where their is no progress, where there is no development, where there is prospect of growing it and most importantly where the people are not accommodating. |
