Dude let me educate you on why Lagos is getting better since 1999 as evidenced from the increased IGR..read attentively.

How does increased IGR, paid by the people, become the only evidence of a state getting better
What kind of rubbish is that please?

Establishment is differ from equipping them,Ambode gave them everything they needed including the expertise, that command and control base was created and equipped by Ambode, the iT dude that deployed and configure their server is my junior brother

Fashola was at the equipment hand over ceremony back then for a reason, it was because he actually ordered the equipment before Ambode, Ambode was just the governor when they were delivered.

Such heavy machinery, heavy-duty trucks, trailers and heavy-duty cranes are not procured, branded and bought off the shelves from dealers, takes years to manufactured, branded, transported and distributed for commissioning. Ambode couldn't have done all that just months after assuming office.

Any body elected to govern Lagos state will perform well, no matter how daft he or she is..so is not about sanwo olu or ambode or even that frog eyed godfather cool

The person has no reason to fail with the huge IGR from that state.. Lagos is equivalent to some countries smiley

Considering the fact that when you factor in population and scope of responsibilities, Lagoas is actually a very poor state, the richest states in Nigeria are Akwa Ibom, Delta and Rivers and they all have less than 5 million population.

It's really not about IGR, it's all about the kind of leaders you have and how competent they are. Lagos is always ahead because of competent leaders, not just because of IGR because if it's all about money, then Akwa Ibom and Rivers should be doing better than Lagos state.

Are you telling me it took around 2years to have all these ordered and branded as the official launch took place on the 23rd May 2016 and Fashola exit on 29th May 2015?
The equipment manufacturers have these things already on ground, they make them on a daily basis and always ready to brand and ship in less than 3months of placing your order.
Most of the things deployed are not specialized equipment persee, they are everyday equipment for ease of operations where people cares,it's because emergency rescue has not been part of our culture that is why we see it as a biggie.
10,000 tonnes crane,Light towing vehicles, Ambulances, Speedboats,Bullet proof vests, Operational vehicles are readily available bro.

What is all this chest beating and bragging about IGR alone, which is collected directly and indirectly from the people's pockets?
Have you seen the costs of all the projects done by LASG? Or that does not matter?
Too much opacity is the breeding room for corruption, looting and stealing.

Thank God that there is at least some ongoing project in Lagos,We can probe the cost at a later date if we chose to,let other states generates as much and spend all on projects so people can have something to point to.

The integrity of Ambode is questioned on why he doesn't want to leave the projects for the incoming governor to commission like his predecessor did. Pundits quickly recalled how he took the glory for the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) Centre at Cappa, Oshodi which the former governor of the state Babatunde Fashola began.

https://allafrica.com/stories/201904290033.html

Former Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN is a man in his own class. A complete Omoluabi and matured mind. Fashola didn’t rush to commission uncompleted projects just to take the glory.

Infact, the former governor deliberately left the commissioning of the completed LASEMA Centre at Cappa, Oshodi and other landmark projects for his successor, Ambode to commission.

https://lagoseyemedia./2019/04/24/so-ambode-who-refused-to-invite-fashola-to-features-commission-inherited-completed-projects-wants-to-prevent-sanwo-olu-from-commissioning-ongoing-projects-by-adeoba-michaels/

This is the project in question, it was Fashola's project.

I appreciate continuity, but this was 100% Fashola's project from top to bottom, he created LASEMA and equipped LASEMA, Amboode was just lucky to be in office to commission what Fashola left behind for him to commission. Now you know.

When Fashola ordered 34 fire engines from W.S Darley of United States, it took 2 years to process, built and transport to Nigeria.

Ambode did not source funds, award contract, import and receive several dozens of different equipment from BMW power bikes, boats, trailers, cranes and fire engines in less than 1 year.

And it did not occurred to you that delivery could be hampered by funding?
Fire engines are readily available in the market, even if you want to retrofit,it doesn't take that long dude, don't misinform people because of your love for a particular man.
One fact remains, you can not erase that part of Lagos history that Ambode was a Governor From 2015-2019.

Sorry, they didn't buy the trucks on Ebay or at the auction, painted and sent to Nigeria. They were manufactured from scratch.

Stop confusing yourself with what you know nothing about.

This is the election situation room you are talking about, it's not the Lagos command and control center Fashola commissioned back in 2012.

Stop arguing blindly and just learn.

Why are so full of ignorance and yet you can't conceal it? the present command and control in use is located right inside LASUTH in ikeja, the Present one was just put together in less than 2yrs now and is situated right in the ministry of environment/land's compound

I can see why you keep confusing the two, Security command and control center is mainly for Security personnel, that is the main Operational base.
Emergency Control center is located right in LASUTH and they will deployed instructions to whatever unit you required their assistance.
Don't muddle up the two dude

Social contract

In moral and political philosophy, the social contract is a theory or model that originated during the Age of Enlightenment and usually concerns the legitimacy of the authority of the state over the individual. Social contract arguments typically posit that individuals have consented, either explicitly or tacitly, to surrender some of their freedoms and submit to the authority (of the ruler, or to the decision of a majority) in exchange for protection of their remaining rights or maintenance of the social order. The relation between natural and legal rights is often a topic of social contract theory. The term takes its name from The Social Contract (French: Du contrat social ou Principes du droit politique), a 1762 book by Jean-Jacques Rousseau that discussed this concept. Although the antecedents of social contract theory are found in antiquity, in Greek and Stoic philosophy and Roman and Canon Law, the heyday of the social contract was the mid-17th to early 19th centuries, when it emerged as the leading doctrine of political legitimacy.

The starting point for most social contract theories is an examination of the human condition absent of any political order (termed the "state of nature" by Thomas Hobbes). In this condition, individuals' actions are bound only by their personal power and conscience. From this shared starting point, social contract theorists seek to demonstrate why a rational individual would voluntarily consent to give up their natural freedom to obtain the benefits of political order.
