Nothing will happen unless you kill most of the leaders in Nigeria.

Damod88:
People that should be on the farm tilling the land to provide food for themselves are shouting revolution as if they understand what revolution means. Laziness and genetic inferiority are some of the problems facing the black race. Irrespective of the short comings of our political leaders, Nigerian is still a democracy with laid down procedures for changing a government. Democracy may not be what want we need right now, but it was what majority of Nigerians clamoured for during the days of the military. What we don't understand is that no country as underdeveloped as Nigeria is will be able to develop a functioning democracy. Functioning democracy is incompatible with poverty, ignorance and underdevelopment. And for people to think that protests will make the elites give up their privileges is just forlorn. The elites will continue to dominate even if the current elites are forced to share power.
Fantastic submission.. The best post so far on this subject matter. I need not say more.

Revolution! grin grin grin ...No na Television... Those leading the so called Revolution will bow when they see dollars! How many of these so called Revolutionary goons will not do "an about turn" at the sight of $1,000,000! As long we have citizens who are continuously being taught that it is better to get rich via any means necessary than to be a good person, Nigeria can never rise...

Democratic change is the greatest revolution, not the one by force.
And whichever one, there is no guarantee of a better tomorrow,is just a gamble like bet9ja.

Loser politicians would not mind bringing down Nigeria. undecided

Sowore and co need their heads seriously examined.

Nigeria's problem is not leadership, but political system and mentality. If you think protesting against Buhari or that removing Buhari and installing a 30-year old intellectual would suddenly change the country forever, then you need to see a psychiatrist as soon as possible.

Nigeria's problem can only be solved by a change of mentality and a modification of our political system. Even Abraham Lincoln will find it difficult to successfully govern Nigeria

But Nigerians voted massively for septugenerian Apc and Pdp presidential candidates this February while young, promising and intelligent candidates had miserable meagre votes. Nigerians are hypocrites. The best revolution should have occurred this February but most critics still voted for the old order. Revolution demands concrete actions and not mere rhetorics.

For you to be a Nairalanders since 2009, I can vouch that you are not a kid.

But your post is a bit childish because it ignores the fact that major tasks in life require help. Solo efforts always fall short when a task is gargantuan. Most of the climbers that die on Mt. Everest are solo guys. They are not part of a team.

Politics usually requires alliances when the opponent is entrenched. Buhari also failed elections when he went solo. But the moment he alligned with Tinubu. A man that had proven results in the game of Politics-he won. Left to himself, Buhari would NEVER have anything to do with Tinubu as he would have hypocritically termed him a looter. Same with Atiku. But he used both men to achieve his ambition.

As strong as Atiku is politically, he could not unseat Buhari because he had no answer to the rigging machine. Same thing here. Sowore is a political midget. It will take Afenifere, Ipob, Shehu Sani, Onaheze, the entire SE and SS and so many others to save Nigeria from this disaster. So allow Shehu Sani be. He was a political activist as a youth but simmered down when he became a senator. Perhaps he can revive that fire and help to turn this sinking ship back to shore

DTaj:
The fool who wears an Afro hairstyle, Shehu Sanni, what did he do as Senator for 4 years (2015 to 2019) to change the status quo?

What did he (Shehu Sanni) do for the masses in his small Senatorial District other than distribution of pocket-sized transistor radios to few constituents as "empowerment"?

The daft clown was retired politically by El-Rufai and now, he spends his entire life, daily, ranting on Twitter!

If the fool had been allowed to remain in APC, and if he was elected as Senator this year, would he have loudly supported this nonsense revolution?

How could any sane man follow anything spearheaded by Shehu Sani?

We are damn too gullible! Anyone who enjoyed political largesse from 1999 till today has NO MORAL RIGHT to lead any lazy youth to any senseless protest!

I can understand Sowore leading it, but fools like Shehu Sanni should be castrated already!

Bear in mind that a good Nigeria, is probably a restructured Nigeria.
So in the case of a restructured Nigeria, maybe if Nigeria is still found wanting, there will be provisions in the constitution for any federating unit to quite the federation.
Again, these are some of the intricate issues that Kanu may not understand, for which I described him earlier on, as short-sighted.
Highly intelligent Igbos should really be making some important decisions. Not Kanu. I will prefer people like Tony Nnadi or the ADF crew. They are far more enlightened, and astute enough to deal with these dicey intricacies
Nigeria cannot be restructured. In other to restructure Nigeria, the constitution must be changed. The only place the constitution of Nigeria can be changed is the national assembly. The North is against restructuring Nigeria and they control 60% of the national assembly. It will be impossible for anybody to get two third majority vote needed to change the constitution so as to reflect restructuring.

Anyone still talking about restructuring is living in dream land.

Not even Sowore has the moral audacity to lead a so called ''revolution.''

When politicians lose election, they seek vengeance via anti-government activities.

Please don't fall for the cheap propaganda of restructuring. Let me ask u, if it becomes a reality that Nigeria is restructured, will the leaders who will lead a restructured Nigeria also restructure themselves? Where will the leaders come from? The greatest harm one can do to oneself is for one to start listening to opinions coming from our tribal leaders like afenifere, ohaenize, and the arewa socio- cultural group. These peoples are as deluded as the political leaders. They are part and parcel of the problems confronting Nigeria.

Lol, the only reason why Buhari can hold those people prisoners for long was simply because they are northerners.

In a democracy, A sitting president of a certain tribe cannot hold other people from a different tribe hostage for that long years coz people will protest until he succumb coz Nigeria is all about tribal interest.

If the person help prisoner were to be Yoruba, south-south, it would have been the same result.

Just imagine Buhari holding Sowore hostage for 1year, and imagine what kind of movement will spring up in the Southwest. It’s just common sense, stop adducing too much praise to Kanu Caz he was used indirectly to lessen the vote turnout in the SE which led to the defeat of Atiku. It’s all a game
Shut up you dumb ass. The northerners held A westerner Abiola, not only holding him despite being from another tribe accordingl to your dumb, stupid and foolish postulations, they killed him, what did Yoruba do?

Stupid fellow, that was during the military era. We are talking about democracy here.

Do you think the albino Kanu will try rubbish with the military government, he would have been wasted from the first day coz military don’t make use of rule of law or freedom of speech.

If you don’t want to be unfortunate don’t quote me again without putting your thinking cap on.

you are not a fan of kanu but even fans don't do this much worshipping?

Remember iPod apologists all concluded buhari killed kanu but couldn't do "jack" so where was the pressure or fear?

Buhari release of kanu was a strategic political chess which worked, the series of discrepancies kanu made was why atiku got the lowest turnout from the east.

Has buhari ever battered an eyelid whenever he unleaches on the terrorist group which you are chest beating for.

The protest you are talking of is just another owambe to get noticed, when real protest start the people would not be looking for dress code before they express their frustration
