1. Land lease 20k.
2. Brushing & burning 60k.
3. Herbicides + Spraying 20k.
4. Planting materials + labour 70k.

6. Fertilizer + labour 40k.
Total N250k.

Of the minimum 10,000 plant population and all steps above taken, each plant has the capacity to yield tubers worth over N100 each.
(Potato is a low risk crop).

Farm setup duration: 2 weeks.

My initial projected harvest was N50 per plant from the pilot project but discovered over N100 worth of sweet potato was actually harvested per plant.
You too can try it on a pilot scale.

Ensure you plant this month else, push it to next year.

Additional 250 acres have been added to the moko farm block preferably for sugarcane and potato farming. Both are low risk and highly rewarding.

The white variety matures in about 3 months while the purple variety which contains vit A takes extra month to mature.

Potato can be planted anytime. If you support it with irrigation, it will meet good price.

And the rain came down heavily earlier than the predicted February.

Is there any measures that can be used to control soil pest, mostly termites that eat and bore holes in potatoes tubers? That was my greatest challenge last last year.
