I just believe that what is happening in Nigeria today are all politically motivated, sponsored and backed up.But my pain is that majority of the sinister aspects of it falls on the heads of the commoners. And i will be happy if the large portion of these evils come to sit at the doorsteps of the elites,it's then we all we have a Nigeria of our dream where peace will reign supreme.

None. Time was just too short for ransom negotiations

There was a time in Aba under TA Orji when kidnapping was rampant like this. Then, they would kidnap churchgoers and the church would be collecting kidnap offering in church for their kidnapped members. Kidnappers used to collect recharge cards as ransom. This was around 2007. Things got to a head when kidnappers kidnapped a school bus full of kids. Toddlers under 5 years o.

Yar'adua sent soldiers to Abia State. By the time they started killing kidnappers and burning down the houses of their parents, kidnapping stopped.

Remember when kidnappers were disturbing in Ikorodu? Buhari bombed them to smithereens and soldiers picked up their leaders in the creeks. Kidnapping stopped.

The solution to kidnapping lies in the hands of Buhari. It hasn't stopped not because he's unable, I feel he's simply unwilling.
Bros your narration is spot on, you captured the historical gamut of kidnapping by walking down memory lane, and this is a clear indictment on leadership, in this same Nigeria such an inciden was resolved with such dispatch because of parties involved. This government has spilled too much blood by omission and by commission

Use your head.

To get brain is expensive.

Where did Baba G.O says one Pastor was kidnapped?

Modified: never in your life quote or mention me...ok!

For your information I get thunder at my disposal.

Oyetunuji Abioye, Adelani Adepegba, Afeez Hanafi and Tunji Bosun

"The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Worldwide, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has called for prayers following the kidnap of a pastor of the church and four other yet-to-be identified persons."

The above is culled from punch of today. I am in good mood today. You won't get what you deserve.

does it really matter? if that's the price to pay to get them out unhurt, i don't care!

if one of the victims was your family, will it matter to you if ransom was paid or not as long as you have them back alive and unhurt every other thing should be under the shoe

The problem is, if he does it some fools will say he is carrying out ethnic cleansing

GISTM0RE:
Five pastors of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) have been kidnapped on their way to the Redemption Camp at Km 45 on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

Controversial OAP, Daddy Freeze mocked the 5 pastors kidnapped at gunpoint who are tithe payers and receivers, and the general overseer, pastor Adeboye calling for prayers. He wrote;

<<<Tithe payers and receivers abducted at gun point, Adeboye calls for prayers.>>>

See more here; http://gistmore.com/daddy-freeze-mocks-the-5-rccg-pastors-kidnapped

Freeze! SHAME UNTO YOU.
This is why I would have love you to be sensitive and show concern.
even MURIC try to show cocern but not you!!!!

My humble opinion is that we see an example of what the bible terms "accuser of brethren"

God answers prayer of the tithers and non tithers.

More people will soon start going into kidnapping.
I just wish those kidnappers can target our greedy politicians.

lol, scammer, 700 can't even fetch u half plot of land in mowe, let alone lekki

Because our atmosphere is so polluted doesn't mean everyone are scammers.

If you're in Lagos or around, try to make yourself available for physical inspection to our Estates at Ibeju-Lekki and you will also inspect our office at road 3, VGC complex Ajah.

700k will definitely get him/her one plot at Bricks Garden Estate at Ibeju-Lekki; just few minutes after La Capaigne Resort.

Let me also surprise you that; you can still get another Estate within the same region at 650k per plot Royal Bay Estate. Please search internet to do more findings about the Estates I've mentioned or visit property section on Nairaland here; you will see it there.

Estates are available from low cost, medium and so on. Between 650k per plot presently to 15m (Amen Estate phase 2)

What really determine the price on Estate is the current tittle documents on it apart from their location.

In conclution, I will advice you not to be too fast to call everyone scammers, such careless charater is capable of damaging reputation someone is trying to build and protect.

Though we are on faceless forum, please always try to search for previous comments on here of a particular user name to have the idea of characters behind monikers you're coming across; before you jump to conclution.

Let I forget, to visit any of our Estates across Nigeria States, we don't charge penny. Just hold your own transportation fees.

so this is the only encouragement u can give to npf for sweeping the forest and the lives saved and more to be saved and for the success which would serve as deterrent to future kidnappers knowing npf is ready to chase them, pls Learn to give commendation when due and condemnation when appropriate.

How on earth will they.reacue them without a fight ? Unless it was the police that kidnapped them in the first place
I belived ransom was paid quickly to effect their quick release . The ransom obviously came from the presidency.or Ogun state government or the church.
Sir, the good news is: they have all been rescued. Whether ransome was paid or not.. Let's thank God for their lives and their safe return.

No not good
There was a time plane hijacking was common. America put a stop to it by telling the hijackers they won't pay or negotiate with them. That's the way to go.
Let the Police and the army flexing muscles on unarmed civilians face these monsters , they will surely bring it to an end.
However, I believe strongly the security agents are very much into this kidnapping thing. That's only explanation for it spreading to every part of the country.
