The seven-man committee inaugurated by the Governor of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha, to investigate the status of the newly established tertiary institutions by the immediate past governor of the state, Rochas Okorocha, has recommended among other things, the sacking of all the vice chancellors, reactors and principal officers of the institutions.

The Chairman of the committee, Prof. Jude Njoku, who briefed newsmen in Owerri along other committee members, said the properties of the institutions which were in the hands of the dons should be recovered by the state government.

Njoku, who is a former VC of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Said, “The appointment of all the vice chancellors, rectors, principal officers and members of governing councils of the newly established tertiary should be terminated by government appropriately and all the property belonging to those institutions recovered.

“The governing councils of the Imo State College of Education, Ihitte Uboma and Imo State Polytechnic, Umuagwo, should be formally dissolved and reconstituted.”

U want to demolish all d structures Rochas wasted Imo treasury own, dat in itself is d actual waste. He is simply wasting precious time as there are more pressing issues dat require attention.. Why not allow those ppl to work and den remove dem wen dey aren't meeting up.. Why not focus on some of d primary issues bedevilling d state while reviewing Rochas appointments and contracts as a secondary priority

I hope there is sincerity of purpose on the part of government. As much as I hate the way Rochas raped IMO state, I think Ihedioha is going far. There are other serious things that should be urgently tackled

Rochas okorocha really distroyed imo state.I was in owerri last week,i couldn't believe this was owerri...no good roads from world bank road to control to overflooded tunnels.And this is the same road rochas ply all the time.Rochas is wicked!!!, owerris in a mess.
Funny thing is that most people commenting against ihedioha have not been to imo state.

So all d bad roads in Owerri are not serious issues? D flood issues Owerri faces each time it rains due to blocked drainages especially along wetheral and Okigwe road isnt serious enough? D bad state of d Owerri- Umuahia road is not a serious issue especially between Owerri and Mbaise? D Aba road axis is also not serious? D pension and salaries of teachers and workers is not a serious issue? So afta demolishing those structures Rochas wasted money on, what happens to d space? Anoda money will b allocated and spent on erecting something else there ryt? Now imagine if each successive govt demolishes every structure it's predecessor constructed.. Everyone has been united in condemning d stupidity and greed of Rochas but now dat d state has been rid of d Rochas plague shld d state still b stagnating simply becos we want to completely remove every single person he gave some sort of appointment?
