If Sowore arrest was a terrorist midnight attack as claimed by Prof Soyinka, what is now Sowore planned disruption and call for National mayhem? There is different in being a writer and in practical contribution to the National growth and development. Soyinka is a genius when it comes to writing but knows nothing about how to contribute to national growth and development. Kindly tell us what he has done to move Nigeria forward apart from personal achievements? Soyinka simply belong to the "Failed generation"

Wole Soyinka 2015[/quote

People are dynamic, so dont blame soyinka for his position in 2015.
Give man money and power, then u will know who he truly is including u my bro and myself. Buhari today is not what people believed him to be in 2015 even though i didnt vote for him.

soyinka was among those who repackaged the tyrant for gullible Nigerians. he should better shut up or go lead the so-called revolution from the front. he should not be sitting at home deceiving Nigerians to their grave. he should go and confront the tyrant he created

I can only laugh.

Sebi we warned you before the 2019 election but you let ethnicity, religion becloud your rational judgment. The politicians have hibernated after playing with your brains again.

This "4+4" and "Next Level" must go on.

Like I always say, Nigerians can only learn the hard way. After this next four years of Buhari, those who will still be alive should take stocks. This is only the beginning. 3 more years to go.

Re: Wole Soyinka Reacts To Sowore’s Arrest: 'Buhari’s Govt Behaving Like Abacha’s' by Newboss(m): 8:37am On Aug 05, 2019
Wrong!

Nigeria is a mess but not being ruled by a dictator. Election was conducted less than six months ago. Nigerians still voted the same Buhari in. In fact, Sowore was no where to be found.

Can't we be rational in this country? Is it Buhari that is littering the street with plastics and all sorts of trash that should be disposed in a waste bin?

Can't we see that we're the cause of our own problems, not government?

If you put Sowore, that's when you'll know what a dictator behaves like. All the signs are written all over him. Dude literarily said he can't be judged by a judge. This guy is against Democratic principles. He only chooses the one that suits his agenda.

This is something every smart person should have spotted. We can't risk a military coup through this aimless nonsense.
Re: Wole Soyinka Reacts To Sowore’s Arrest: 'Buhari’s Govt Behaving Like Abacha’s' by Onlyonebuhari: 8:38am On Aug 05, 2019
Revolution means; a forcible overthrow of a government or social order, in favour of a new system. There is no provision for change of government in Nigeria through incitement and disruption of peace so anyone found canvassing for it should be arrested and prosecuted for treasonable offence. Where were the advocates of revolution during elections? If they sane individuals, they should have easily voted Buhari out just the way Saraki, Damkwambo, Ajimobi, Akpabio and were resoundingly rejected at the poll without them contesting the outcome of the elections. That means the elections was free, fair and acceptable to them.

Nigerians won't learn... In 2015, one mummy of blessed memory said it's funny how Nigerians have forgotten what it was like during Buhari's millitary regime...that things were kokoko and we shouldn't let him rule cos of that associated economic and dictatorial problems...

Prof, you cannot say ''Beyond the word''.

That word, Revolution, means forcible overthrow of the government. It is an important word.

Why should an elected govt stand for that?

Sad. Nigwrian leaders swimming in luxury, earning 13million allowance a month, sending their kids to schools overseas, but to pay just 30k, it is debate galore. Until we come to our senses, our travails will continue.

Judging by your yardstick, he has contributed to national development by supporting your Buhari during his first term campaign, now see where that has led the country to

That’s a political extreme meaning which sowore has not demanded or stated unless it is guilty conscience seriously worrying the presidency. The same revolution also means changing a negative practice or ideology by demanding for it.

The demands of the are Revolution as stated will go along way to change the despicable status quo we currently are in.

In Jonathan’s time there were similar protests against bad governance. Buhari and his cabal cannot stop people from expressing their displeasure in the system and demanding it changes. This is how Americans fought and many other countries that freed themselves from the bondage of bad government, ideology and practices.

It is a pity that even people who knew Buhari during his regime as a military head of state still advovated and voted for him to be elected in 2015...

Baffled me that people still reelected him again in 2019 if he did have sizeable number of votes he couldn't have rigged.

Followers have so much blames than leaders! Well Mr. Soyinka was part of it. I don't take him serious in Nigeria politics again.. Who do we trust in Nigeria again?
