the problem is they derive joy in dirtiness, thugery and staying out of school. Once you are fighting these things you automatically become their enemy. I don't know why and how people will hate education that much. I'm reffering to ibadan here though. As for the rest of oyo state most especially from ogbomoso, oyo, they really might not like him for natural cause.

they dont really hate education, they want it FREE, absolutely FREE which is why they hated Ajimobi so much for introducing 1000 naira payment for pupils in senior secondary school...

they dont really hate education, they want it FREE, absolutely FREE which is why they hated Ajimobi so much for introducing 1000 naira payment for pupils in senior secondary school...

Ajimobi gave them free and they performed woefully in both waec and neco, he was upset which was why he introduced the levy that maybe if the parents are paying they'd monitor their kids so they can perform better. They were even burning their schools that year when he introduced the levy. Ibadan locals are on another level as far as oyo state is concerned sha.

I think if Seyi Makinde can surround himself with people who can think out of the box and can see beyond their nose, he'll go far indeed.

To tackle waste issues in Oyo state:

1. Make a legislation that all building must possess at least a drum where they empty their waste. Failure to have a drum will result in automatic demolition.

2. Set up a task force to enforce same.

3. Empower local waste collectors with garbage trucks and assign each one to cover a selected area or ward(s).

4. Establish recycling plants in the state. These would convert waste to wealth.

And like that, in one fell swoop, you've not only taken care of the waste problems in Oyo state, you've also created jobs.
