As you are obtaining birth certificate from local government population bring your child to capture national ID

This country is a joke.If an ATM Card can ready between 5 minutes,I don't know the reasons why ID Card will take unto 5 years.

I was sent sms to come and collect the e-Id card, went to their office thrice and didn’t met any of their officers on ground.

i am a law abiding citizen and it has always favored me because everything i do was express and swift until 2015 when i began to experience broad day limitations burn out of corruption. i renewed my passport with 4 visas and applied for national id without been forced to, on my way back from immigration some boys, one on a lawyer outfit, another was carrying an electricians tool but on army color polo tshirt attack and took my handbag containing the new both passports including my academic certificate and other travel documents burns them before my eyes and took me to the atm and forced me to withdraw money for them, later ask to transfer the rest then they took my phones flash drive and atm and let me go. since then anytime i tell somebody they think i am lying or maybe i am going crazy . why i am saying this is the bandits have been blackmailing me since then, i hope it doesn't affect my travel reputation as much as it has done to my finance.. the government should take note

That their ID card that they can not organise issuance well. They bring out an initiative just to embezle funds and then turn around to punish the people whose funds are embezzled for nothing.
You que for days, forced to give bribe before you re allowed in for processing. Then the wait of a thousand years to get the ID. You will be told its not available until you grow old and die. But in the meantime, the govt will punish you by applying laws that limit your life as a citizen. Shior!!!

Go to the SARS and report them. What kind of nonsense is this? How can you allow yourself to be blackmailed like this? You sabi those boys before ? Abi, una do deal together?

Go to the police especially SFIU division, and report the loss of your ATM card. Go to your bank and also report it. Tell them to trace the accounts the funds were wired to. God punish those fraudsters and criminals.

Nigeria is the only country you have multiple biometrics taken. From bank to nimc, frsc,passport, inec, jamb etc. Instead of them to integrate. Me that I did in October 2013 never see card, I still dey carry temporary upandan. I go their office for Ikeja for April, they said "Not Ready" that I would be sent an SMS when it is. They later changed my temporary for me to another temporary. If I say I no tire for this country, na lie.

Pls how can I get my National ID card slip back, it has been lost, how can I retrieve it back?

Though I support combining biometric identification in the country, this is an avenue for another racket in the issuance of national identity card. However, should it be about the card itself or the national identity number?? I recall we were told a few years ago when people were complaining that they never got their cards, that the number is the identity and not the card in itself.

One of their senior officer took pity on me. I couldn't even stand. Don't talk. See line. Was surprised when I was told to go inside upon the long que. As I don't talk and walk well na, hubby has to come in and that was how he did his at the same time.
Got the thing after 4 months. Meanwhile hubby that went with me got his after one yr.
That thing don't take time at all. One lady said I'm very lucky that madam pitied me, it's very unusual except for the politicians and the big boys.
Was happy hubby pushed me to go for it at that time.
