Which Nigerians? Zombies you mean. When I saw that halfwit Ayo Oyalowo foaming at the mouth on AIT yesterday, I knew they were up to some mischief. They are never tired of playing politics with serious national issues. Why can't Buhari their god institute a probe himself. They're just trying to cow baba and they no know say Baba dey kampe. Maldini212:A really big thief trying hard to divert attention from his looting and corruption that has crippled our country into the extreme poverty capital of the world and base of Boko haram and Fulani herdsmen terrorists. How did we get here ![]() A probe that was done without any tangible result in 2008/2009 is what they are trying to do again. Are they so jobless and lazy youths as he called them? https://nextmoneyng.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/cartoon-1.jpg KunleOshob: |

post=80988549]From whichever angle you look at it, $16 billion is too huge to be swept under the same carpet that has harbored the egregious acts of our past leaders like Obasanjo. |

DameB:Bogus amount to excite the people and obviously they are getting the outcome they expected. Did Sanusi not scream $50 billion NNPC money mission when he was accused of stealing CBN money? Which he later reduced to $20 billion then $10 billion before Jonathan ordered forensic audit of the same NNPC by PwC ![]() Reason things wella before you believe any shit from our politicians. barcanista:The FRCN’s report on Sanusi The decision to suspend the Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Sanusi Lamido was based on a report of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria dated June 7, 2013. The report was made after a review of Sanusi’s response to the query issued to him by the President over the apex bank’s financial statement of 2012. His response was dated May 20, 2013. According to a copy of the report obtained by our correspondent on Thursday, the council indicates that the explanation provided by the suspended CBN governor is “a clear display of incompetence, nonchalance, fraud, wastefulness, and abuse of due process and deliberate efforts to misrepresent facts on the part of the leadership of the CBN.” The council advised the President to exercise the powers conferred on him by Section 11(2)(f) of the CBN Act 2007 or invoke Section 11(2)(c) of the said Act “and cause the governor and the deputy governors to cease from holding office in the CBN.” The report read: The particulars of the infractions against Sanusi are: Persistent refusal and/or negligence to comply with the Public Procurement Act in the procurement practices of the Central Bank of Nigeria. (A) By virtue of Section 15 (1)(a) of the Public Procurement Act, the provisions of the Act are expected to comply to ‘all procurement of goods, works and services carried out by the Federal Government of Nigeria and all procurement entities.’ This definition clearly includes the Central Bank of Nigeria. (B) It is however regrettable that the Central Bank of Nigeria, under his leadership, has refused and/or neglected to comply with the provisions of the Public Procurement Act (PPA). You will recall that one of the primary reasons for the enactment of the PPA was the need to promote transparency, competitiveness, cost of effectiveness and professionalism in the public sector procurement system. ManirBK:Obasanjo has said it severally that such probe has been conducted before n he is certainly not afraid of a new probe,so if the constant talk of power spending probe is the intimidate n silence Obasanjo, then who ever embark on it will only be running a fools errand,n let's hope the probe itself will not consume some of today's saints. |
