From 1999, we have an orderly way to change government. Not topple, but change. Every four years. Nigerians decided to elect, then re-elect PMB against better judgement. They didn't even show love to any of the third-party candidates. If youths had come together and cast their vote (not for PMB, not for Atiku), we might be saying a different thing. They refused, and now social media is full of online warriors. Unless we want to descend into anarchy, have to wait another 3.5 years, and hopefully make better choices.

The National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS on Monday berated Omoyele Sowore and his fellow organizers of the Revolution Now march over ongoing protest, describing their action as akin to a coup against a democratic government.

Addressing newsmen in Abuja, Zonal Coordinator, NANS Zone A, Umar Farouk Lawal, commended the Department of State Services for its prompt response, stressing that the planned protest would have degenerated if prompt action was not taken.

It is call for chaos and civil unrest to topple the duly democratically elected Muhammadu Buhari led administration.

“Change of government should be via the constitutionally guaranteed means such as through the ballots or impeachment proceedings of the national assembly. As a matter of urgency, the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration must come up with other social intervention programmes to complement the existing ones that will empower millions of citizens and lift them out of poverty.”

The Arab Spring (revolution) had devastating effect on most Arab nations, only Algeria had it slightly better and they are not out of the woods yet. Syria and Libya are still fighting a bloody war after the so called revolution.
A revolution style change of government in black Africa world be a very violent and barbaric affair. Due to our tribal and other primordial sentiments, millions of people will be slaughtered. People like Sowore and most of our politicians have multiple citizenship and would take the next available flight (that is if they don't have private jets) out of the country. It is you and I and our families that would bear the full brunt of such a revolution.

What you are writing here does not attribute anything to prove Sowore was advocating for violence. Read Sowore's words and tell me whether you see any hint of violence in it.

Comparing a military dictatorship like Sudan and comparing a democracy like Nigeria is like comparing gote fish and obokun. The only way Al Bashir could have been removed was through a "revolution " ( that is a military coup), that is a very different scerenio in Nigeria. Buhari supposedly just won an election and had only recently been sworn in, and you want people protest to remove him. And put who exactly in power? Sowore that got less than 0.1% of the votes. You are setting the country up for a very bloody civil war. Even if Buhari is unpopular in the south east, South south and some parts of South West, he is immensely popular in the north east, North central and North East. Now if you remove him unconstutionally and put your own man, you think his millions of supporters would not plan a revolution also?



I am not supporting anybody, I am only supporting common sense instead of emotional rants and actions. I agree with most of Sowore's submissions, except removing a president by unconstitutional means.
