The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has said that every Nigerian has the right to protest but must properly articulate their grievances.

He spoke with State House correspondents after a meeting of the APC National Working Committee (NWC) with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.


He however condemned the revolution protest by the convener of the Global Coalition for Security and Democracy, Omoyele Sowore.

According to him, Sowore who was the Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC and the Sahara Reporters publisher, decided to lead the protest after failing to win the 23rd February, 2019 presidential election.

I wish to use this medium to call for the immediate and unconditional release of Mr Sowore and all the arrested revolutionnow protesters as they went on a peaceful protest which was legitimate under the Nigeria constitution.

The united states should impose tighter economic sanctions on President Buhari, family members and all the members of his cabinet.

They should be placed under a travel ban until they restore democracy and good governance in Nigeria.

It is a shame that comrade Adams Oshiomole who stood years for the street masses is now defending an ex military dictator who still do not understand what democracy means and the peoples right.

Punishing the immediate family members of erring public or government officials with a travel ban will go a long way to restore good governance in Nigeria.

If family members of serving government officials like Adams Oshiomole is banned from travelling to Europe or America that will go a long way in checkmating their excesses.

One thing that I have come to realize is that exmiliitary officers are never good politicians as they treat democracy with levity. President Buhari and Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo were never lovers or respecter of the fundamental tenets of democracy.
They see citizenry rights, freedom and democracy as an affront on their military background and way of life as a soldiers. When a true civilian is talking about their political rights, demands and needs they assume that as a threat to their comfort zone.

They just use their exmilitary status to deceive the masses and then steal the peoples mandate during general elections.

Have Buhari and Obasanjo been following the protest in Hong Kong against Chinese government dictatorship which requires the mainland china government having the political powers to moving suspects from Hong Kong to mainland china for trials.

The Hong Kongers objected to the mainland government policy and angrily took to the streets to protest as they saw it as an assault on their political freedom and hard won democracy from Britain.

Even Britain their colonial master did not treat them that way not to imagine their Chinese mainland blood brother punishing them with dictatorial laws.

If it is Nigeria the protest in Hong Kong was held President Muhammadu Buhari will take it as a threat to national security with the intention to overthrow the federal government.

Can one imagine the bloodshed that occurred in Abuja and some parts of the north during protest for the release of Shiites leader El Zakzaky.

After so many deaths and destruction been done and waste of public funds keeping the Shiites leader incarcerated.

It is now President Muhammadu Buhari government is changing their decision following a Kaduna court order that he should be released for medical treatment.

This type of behavior from the President Muhammadu Buhari government will not happen in a country practicing a democracy.

Like I said earlier ex-military leaders or ex-military officers who became civilian political leaders are not good public officers no matter how they seem to be pretending.

Their military background seem to rebel against their new democratic culture.

A good example of such people are General Gowon (rtd) Obasanjo, President Buhari, Dan Suleman, General Abdulsalami Abubakar (rtd) General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (rtd)

These guys wear agbada, babaringa etc but they still see things from a military perspective.

When a country is in a democracy it connotes so many opportunities for their people such as their freedom, civil rights and liberty.

BUT THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE IS WHAT THE BUHARI GOVERNMENT IS EXHIBITING IN NIGERIA TODAY.

Left for President Buhari he wish he can put on his military uniform and turn to a complete dictator and then have the kind of supreme military council powers that was conferred on him back then in 1983/84/85 to deal with his enemies or the opposition.

One thing is that sowore want revolution because he was a failure ,so don't allowed any body to used your life for is own gain,tel sowore to go and used is families to take care of the revolution ,let is brother's and sister's lead the commotion against ,Tear gas and bullets

What right did he have when he called for revolution during his tenure as the NLC chairman? The right he has is the same rights Sowore has as a citizen... or you want to say he is a cameroonian too Dont be carried away because you are a party man... the party isn't the problem, it is the people who constitute the party... APC/ PDP.
