Good morning all, I did online application on the 28th of May, biometric on the 30th of May. Purpose of traveling is for a training with a company affiliated with my place of work. Background processing still in process and Eligibility processing is more than 2 weeks now. The date of the training has passed. should I withdraw my application or just leave it and still wait for their decision.. Till now nothing has changed. Thanks. |

FYsol:Thank you for your response @fysol, am actually on the FSW OINP thread, I simply need clarification on a claim made by a friend of mine, who tried convincing me to dump the IELTS and FSW and come into Canada through visit/asylum route. Clearly canada immigration is not a do or die affair, should the FSW route doesnt pull through, I'll simply face my business and mind myself. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Good evening fam I have a question. Can I enter US with my Canadian TRV (not by flight) or I need a US visa? NYC is just few hours to where I stay so I was wondering if I could visit with my Canadian TRV. Your answers will be appreciated. Thank you |

Shammak:You can't. You need a US visa to enter US. You can't even transit from Canada through US to another country on less you have US visa. New York (LGA) is about one and half hours from Toronto (YYZ) |

Hello seniors, a friend of mine just got Employment Contract from a canadian Employer through an agency. He would be going on a 2 yr visa(work permit) But there is a statement included in the contract, .....................Can someone help to explain this....... Please consider this job offer as a commitment that you will be employed with us on a permanent full-time basis upon receiving your Permanent Resident Status . Does it mean he MUST still be with the employer even affter getting permanent residency? |

keleto: 'Thank God it wasn't translated but written in plain English language. It means what it reads. Such a person would be employed indefinitely after receiving Permanent Resident Status. It's a form of exploitation. If the number of years the person would be under their employment after obtaining PR is stated, it would even be better but it is NOT stated. My advice-don't accept the offer or you re-negotiate making them state the number of years after PR status is obtained in the same contract letter. The document can and would be tendered in the court of law if violated. Don't make them think you are a fool and desperate for immigration otherwise you have placed your freedom in their wicked hands which you will forever regret. Think seriously about it again. Please. 1 Like |

I dont think that is the implication of that clause in the offer letter. It simply means you cannot use the offer letter to process a work permit. You can use it to gain point in the express entry pool. It is after you have secured your PR you can then work with them. Also note that the applicant is not under any obligation to work with them. PR allows you to work with anyone and anywhere. If what you insinuated is the case, they will help the applicant get an "unopen" work permit that will restrict him to only work for them. Good evening everybody, I am new here. And I have some questions to ask. 1) please can I get any college in Canada that has a low tuition fee, for PGD in project management. At least $6000 -7000. 2) if my aunt is to sponsor me and she is having another surname, can I be rejected. Or maybe my sister who got married having another surname. Is there any possibility that I would be accepted. 3) how much can your sponsor be having in an account for sponsorship? |

Rence22: Thanks for your info. They have told my friend to find out from immigration consultants that once the period is stated,it becomes difficult to secure work permit. They also claimed that Canadian labour law does not allow any employer to force any employees to work for them.that he should not be scared. They say is going to be a two year closed work permit. They have requested all necessary documents for the work permit preparation |
