Once in a while, you guys need to speak the truth irrespective of blind party loyalty. Is it right to deny elected members of Bauchi state assembly the opportunity to participate in electing the leadership of the house of assembly? Why can’t you tell the PDP governor to do the right by issuing a proper proclamation to enable the constitution of Bauchi state assembly? If an APC governor with a minority in the assembly had done what the Bauchi state governor did, would you come here to support such nonsense.

Edo and Bauchi governors must issue a fresh proclamation or else, the House of Representatives will take over the duties of their respective state house of assemblies. There is no two way about it. We shall no longer tolerate absolute nonsense in this next level.

The constitution does not support duplicate assembly proclamation. If they so desire, the courts are there to adjudicate. Just like Edo State if the legislators do not like the leadership that came from the first and only recognized proclamation, they have to muster the required 2/3rd membership to remove him. Going to Abuja is senseless and smarks of stupidity. Again with 13 members already with the house leadership, all the government need to do is to lobby the 4 members from the other party to have full control. APC should go and DIE!

Oga you do not have one or have never read it otherwise you would not be arguing. If you do have one, help yourself by reading sections 92 and 105.

105 (3) Subject to the provisions of this Constitution, the person elected as the Governor of a State shall have power to issue a proclamation for the holding of the first session of the House of Assembly of the State concerned immediately after his being sworn in, or for its dissolution as provided in this section.

92. (1) There shall be a Speaker and a Deputy Speaker of a House of Assembly who shall be elected by the members of the House from among themselves.

There is NOWHERE the constitution arrogate the office of Speaker and/or Deputy to majority party. QED!!!
