An unknown animal killed a Ram in Abaji, the Federal Capital Territory on Wednesday night. In 2019, the same mysterious animal gutted many goats in the area. Chronic NatGeo addict here! Reporting for duty.  Seems the "mysterious" creature sort of enjoys devouring only the internal organs of its preys, OP. Don't know if this is a pattern or just an isolated incident...  Seriously, we can't just arrive at a conclusion from just this one case before us. Someone here said a hyena[most likely] but... the folks there should try looking out for other possible suspects- like other wild cats or something along that line. Why did it go for just the internal organs... That's left me at a quandary...This is a thread I'm definitely following. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Similar thing happened years back,as far as 2007/08 in kogi state It was a repeated occurece,the "mysterious animal" was always killing sheep's and stubborn goats that refused to enter the house of it's owners at nights Local vigilantes had to mount a hunt on the animal several nights until it was "killed" those who had the opportunity to see the animal claimed it looked like a big dog with deadly speed and very big teeth,others said it was something mystical that it wasn't an ordinary animal If u lived in ikuehi ihima,kogi state between these years u must have heard the story |

Hyena is the most likely predator. They enjoy eating their preys alive especially around the genital. |

There is only one way to catch that animal, poison the carcass of the ram and place it at the exact spot it was found, wild animals always return to where the left the remains of animals they kill. |
