The poster didn’t choose his word carefully. A doctor may have entered US with visiting visa and rather return to the zoo that Nigeria is choose to seek asylum in Canada. That’s understandable but not the same as claiming “he was a doctor in the US” which is what I queried. Whatever pushed him in that direction pushed him to his untimely death.
