I don't know if Shea butter can be used for same purpose. Please get blue seal Vaseline even the small size.

It can be applied to insect bite as well.

Good day Sabi Mums
I did exclusive breastfeeding for my son and when we introduced food to him, he started eating like he's been waiting for it. He eats anything eatable. He is 7 months plus now and JUST YESTERDAY, he stopped eating anything you give him except breastmilk and Nutriben. (NOTE: he takes Nutriben twice a day). COULD IT BE TEETHING??
We noticed his teeth is coming out ( first teeth since he was born) and he's still very playful but has reduced in weight (if you carry him not physically).
Please, help a first time mum oooo.

It might be teething, continue to breastfeed him. Since he takes nutriben, you can increase the number of times and add enough milk.

Mamas, abeg recommend cough drug for 13months old baby. cos Tutolin seems not to be working. thanks

I blend ginger, boil it and add little honey to treat my children for cough and cold since they clocked one. You can try it too since your baby is 13 months it's very effective.

Sebabmed for babies is very scarce o....me sef tire
Try Cerave. Someone told me about it and it’s literarily changed my kids’ skin overnight. They both have extremely dry skin and my older one has really dry patches behind his knees and inside his elbow due to atopic dermatitis/eczema. I used to use a steroid cream for those areas and he will flare up every so often, but ever since I started using Cerave, I have completely stopped the steroid cream and his skin is so smooth! Even the baby has clear, smooth skin with zero blemishes.

Thanks ma. I just don't want him to get addicted to his cereal. That's why I give him home made food mostly

Thank you so much
Please I need the pumping schedule

Okay so this is what I do;

1. Morning before I leave for work: Pump (This depends on how many times he nursed overnight, most times I feel empty, so i go to work like that without pumping)
2. Before 8am: Pump ( I try to get to work early so I can do my thing before work starts)
3. 10:30am ish: Pump
4. 1:30pm ish: Pump
5. Closing time: Pump (I close at 4, so I pump before heading into traffic), pack milk inside cooling bag with ice pad,

I have a fridge to keep my milk and pump bottles at work.

My target is to get nothing less than 400mls of milk at work, sometimes I can get up to 600mls. (My baby takes about 500mls of milk)

I get home around 6pm, If my baby is full before I get home, I just pump, If not I nurse.

I continue nursing overnight, sometimes I pump at midnight if my baby does not feed well and my breasts are full.

soooo, yesterday's milk for today's feed, today's milk for tomorrow's feed and so on....

P.S. There's no science to this thing, you can modify it as it suits you. You have to be determined to see this through as you will probably get frustrated at some point.

You will need a good electric pump (preferably double and can run on batteries, you cant trust NEPA)
Several feeding bottles, because you might not want the caregiver to start changing baby teats, so just prep the bottles yourself (90mls per feed is fine, 4 or 5 bottles should do)
Storage bottles with ice pad and cooling bag

You might also need extra power supply as Breastmilk will last just 4-6 hours in room temp, 5 days in a fridge and 6 months if kept frozen, freezing is not advisable though. (if frozen milk thaws, you have to use within 24 hours)

Also please feed well and get as much rest as you can, as breastfeeding (either nursing or pumping) saps energy.

Let me know if you have other questions.

Nothing o. They said the higher the demand, the more supply. So I nursed on demand from start before we transitioned to nursing and pumping.

Some people say power pumping (pumping at 2 hours interval) increases quantity over time...

It might be teething or just simply reduction in appetite.
Try to ensure he takes as Much fruits as possible to make up for his vitamins..

May I also suggest you stop the nutriben and change his cereal?

You can make Quaker oats and store in his food flask..it can stay for a whole day..

You can also cook ofada rice with unsalted butter, onions ,carrots, green peas and beans..
When very soft, blend in a blender..

Add milk when ready..
You can prepare it and store in your freezer..
Just warm when he needs to eat..

There are different home made cereals that are more nutritious and sweeter than the regular processed ones..

I hope this helps
