Future impossible tense

Like I've said before, I consider this whole process to be a judicial enquiry rather than a court process towards justice. As a nation we will benefit more from reforms to our institutions than from the results, in this case the upturrnng of the Presidential election results and the anulling of the Buhari Presidency.

I keep on saying that until this country is restructured we will forever have to make hard choices between bad and worse. There is so much of good football that can be played on a bad pitch with bad refereeing before terrible crowds. I totally support the stand that Mr. Atiku had all the opportunity to reform the system which could have led to his victory when he was in charge so to support his tribunal victory means to also support those in government who undermine the system while in power. They should not be rewarded.

So for me I disembark at the bus stop of reforms to the electoral process and the institutions running them for future purposes. I will not continue for his victory and will not receive it if it happens with any sense of relief or optimism. President Buhari is the best option for now because in stability lies the opportunity for reformation. I believe the patient has to be sedated to administer critical treatment like the country needs and the pressure brought about by citizens, the 'revolution' group and others is sufficient to move the process forward.

I will always be pro-institutions rather than pro-indivduals. A football club can survive a couple of bad player buys without long term damage to its fortunes. It can even survive a total transfer ban and remain competitive. A poor club however cannot survive a fantastic player who gets injured or loses form. The results are immediate and the damage longer lasting.

If we get our institutions working properly we can rest on the quality of Presidents we elect knowing whatever damage occurs to the polity and country cannot be deep and long lasting. Some call Trump a disaster to the States. Whatever he does can and will be reveresed when he is gone. That is the system I prefer. I will take it over a change of leadership any day.

Atiku can CUM as many times as possible but with the way things are at the moment, Atiku can not COME anywhere, even in his dreams
