Do we call this motivation to the indigenes or another way of making money through government aids?
But wait a minute....why are the Southerners and westerners being deprived of all these?
Be specific, the States in the south west has been paying
100% WAEC fee for their students from time
immemorial.

QuickStandard:
That's a very welcome development, at least it would encourage those that can't afford the fees.

By the way I am of the opinion that public primary and secondary schools should have some level of free education.

Basic education should be made accessible to all Nigerians.

Who else thinks the fees being charged by both waec neco and co are just too expensive these days?
I agree with you the fees are way to high.. as for primary education it is tagged as free education... but when the government are not doing their own part what do you expect the school administrator's to do..

This is a good development which all other governors should emulate.

But let us just hope it works out 'cos there's this saying that says "No bad leader but bad follwers"

I pray they don't channel those money into their own pocket

How? the state government is paying the money directly into WAEC account not the other way round.
now tell me how they want take channel the money into they pocket.

I suppose the news means WASSCE May/June 2020 because this year May/June WASSCE has been completed.

This is a good sponsorship policy at least the poor folks will benefit from it if done in good faith.

No country/state can grow without human development (education). Read about countries like Singapore and see their Economic Miracle.

I hope other governors will emulate this gesture..

I wish 40% of Naira landers are as articulated as you are.

while this northern governors are enticing their people with education, our own down south are chasing their people away with outrageous amount. smh undecided

It makes students in the South to take the exams serious, in the North where I school the write WAEC exams for them on the board and they will still not copy correctly, you will still see a final year student writing '15' instead of 'is' during English exam undecided

If you have been to North, you will understand and appreciate what the governor did. Cos even after paying for the exams, most of them will still not come and write it.
