Nah nah. It's pretty much unfair to place Nigeria and Rwanda on the same level.

Ok, it's just like an American seeking to study in Niger Republic.
I'm sure you understand now. It makes absolutely no sense.

This goes to show that our National dignity and pride is now at level 0. If Nigerians are now hoping to travel to Rwanda for studies, then IT IS FINISHED.

At this juncture, I just saw Rwanda government offered Nigerian students scholarship to study on all levels. Wetin Musa no go see for gate all those still deluded that naija is an educational place Hmmm...
Oh well we should just agree our naija has fallen.
Joshua it's okay to study there it's definitely better than most of ours and surely better than cotonou even bill gates invested in the medical related universities there and some of the other big universities in africa have come to build their University branches there and some US other countries schools too all moving to the present forward moving country...
Nigerian system is like the mountain that can never be moved, stale teachings and backward what our fathers learned we're still learning and the world is moving and left us behind pls go don't listen to the nay sayers Biko I no blame you. University of Rwanda Is okay & a couple of others too; we have alot of Nigerian professor's in that Country now so if the place no good why then go there just as we have Nigerian professor's in the US and UK so pls go at least it won't suck your money out and you will easily get visa too good countries on holiday if you have the cash to show and good grades that give them the heart to know you will come back to continue your studies at least that's a benefit added on top...

Once it is a recognized Rwandan university then there is no problem attending it.

Let me cite Kenya as an example, many Nigerians are presently pursuing both undergraduate and postgraduate studies in various recognized Kenyan universities. For undergraduate studies, they are sure that in 3-4 years they will be graduating (except for longer courses). They are certain of constant electricity and cheaper internet access that helps them earn money working online while studying and once they have their Student Pass (Student VIsa and is increasingly becoming more difficult to obtain), it become easier to apply at various foreign embassies and travel to a third country during their school holidays, many who meet the requirements do easily travel to South Africa and Europe for vacation (pre-covid).

After graduation, they further their studies in Europe. I personally know 2 Nigerians who got admitted in May 2017, studied and graduated from a Kenyan University last year October with a bachelor degree, they both relocated to the UK first week of January this year for their masters as they applied for their UK Tier 4 (Student) Visa, right here in Nairobi.

Employment is not limited to Nigeria in today's world as long as your skills are measurable. One of the persons I mentioned earlier is presently doing her UK masters in Clinical Child Psychology, so you mean after being trained in that field of study, she will less likely get a job there in the UK because she obtained her Bachelors degree in Kenya, the same bachelors degree and its transcript that was assessed by The British Psychological Society and found it worthy enough to be granted Graduate Membership, a proof that it met their standard and requirement for jobs and further studies in the field of Psychology in the UK and Ireland.

No my dear, I do not see.
There used to be a few foreigners coming in to study the Nigerian Language and Culture in the past but I don’t see them around anymore.

Even the Asians(Pakistanis) and other Neighboring Africans used to come study Medicine and Engineering here, but not anymore. This is fact!

Why go to Niger to study French when France is open to them. Pleasee !
Except of course the scholar is seeking adventure primarily.

And how much do they pay for these? Yes, they don't get cheap internet access and stable electricity in Nigeria, but the University of Nairobi, for example, is around $5,000 for international students, a school that is not better than the University of Ibadan or Unilag where you can attend for N30K. Why would you go spend all of that to attend a school that is not better than the ones in your country? What is the advantage exactly? You can't even live and work in that country!

that helps them earn money working online while studying and once they have their Student Pass (Student VIsa and is increasingly becoming more difficult to obtain), it become easier to apply at various foreign embassies and travel to a third country during their school holidays, many who meet the requirements do easily travel to South Africa and Europe for vacation (pre-covid).

So, don't Nigerian students do these same things? Haven't you seen Nigerian students working online and travelling abroad for graduate school? And when you talk about travelling to other African countries for vacation, isn't it about money? Will it not cost even more money to make those travels when you're studying in Kenya. If you have that money and study here, can't you go on those same vacations?

After graduation, they further their studies in Europe. I personally know 2 Nigerians who got admitted in May 2017, studied and graduated from a Kenyan University last year October with a bachelor degree, they both relocated to the UK first week of January this year for their masters as they applied for their UK Tier 4 (Student) Visa, right here in Nairobi.

Are you saying Nigerians don't further their education abroad or what? Why spend so much money to study in a country that is not better than your with universities that are not better than yours? Go to proper, advanced countries if you must travel abroad to study. Don't waste all that money studies in schools and countries that are not better than what you have back home.

People are here laughing at the guy without knowing the level Nigeria has degenerated into. For your information, University of Rwanda has a top notch infrastructure that beats the best of ours here.

UN, World Bank and humanitarian donors invest heavily in their schools. You are sure of graduating as at when due and availability of scholarships. With student's visa, you have opportunity of applying to embassies for internships and study opportunities in other countries which are lacking in Nigeria.

Nigerian students pass through the worst difficulty in education. Our learning environment is so chaotic and disorganised to support meaningful learning. It also gives you the opportunity to learn French and having lived in another country.

Bro, if you have the money or have secured scholarship to study in Rwanda, please proceed. Don't listen to all these people looking down on Rwanda. Until you leave this country, you won't understand the level of decadence our country has degenerated into because of bad leadership.

To burst your head, many Nigerians from wealthy homes are currently studying at Universities in Botswana and Namibia with sound infrastructure and decent city lives. Not everybody can put up with the level of insanity in our national and social lives here.

I for one, given an opportunity between studying in Nigeria's local universities and University of Rwanda, I will pick the later. The HR of my client's company finished at Makalele University in Uganda before the age 20 and she is currently doing very well.
